Description
Early 80's ('82-'83)A carbonated BLUE soda that I guess tasted like blue raspberry. My friends and I would drink it on the beach in the summer and eat Suzie Qs and Doritos! Remember those days when we didn't have to worry so much about what we ate and drank?!

I didn't come across this until a few years ago. I wish I knew about it sooner. I love the pomegranate kind.

I drink this today because it's organic. I never poured it out of the can into a glass so I didn't know it was blue. Also I hadn't heard of it until a few years ago.

This organic Blue Sky soda available today is NOT the same as the Blue Sky soda we drank in the 70's & 80's. The Blue Sky soda we drank back then came in glass bottles & later plastic & you could clearly see just how blue the soda itself was. There was nothing healthy about it but boy was it good! I've searched forever to find the original but all I ever find are references to this new organic stuff.

I agree. This is not the same stuff as the Blue Sky Soda in the 70's and 80's. I remember the glass bottles, I didn't think it was around for very long. It wasn't very good, it was just... well blue.

I remember walking to the corner store and buy the Blue Sky soda and BBQ chips. I was trying to tell these young folks about it but they look at me like I'm crazy!

I too grew up in the 70's and 80's as a lover of Blue Sky soda. The last time that I was able to purchase it was in the late 90's in Manhattan in a bodega on 138th and Fifth Avenue. Even then I stocked up on them because I hadn't seen it in years. Unfortunately in my recent visits to that store Blue Sky was nowhere to be found. Like Stella D'Oro's Como Delights and Archway's Molasses cookies without the sugar sprinkles these treats to the tongue have all gone by the wayside.

I used to drink Blue Sky in the 70's as a kid. I lived on Staten Island, and the candy store on the way home from church had it, and my parents would always buy me one (the only thing I liked about going to church). Then, they'd tease me about it. I no longer recall the taste, but it was my favorite (probably because of the color more than the taste). One day, it was gone. Never saw it again.

.in the early 70's blue sky soda changed my life. IT was only sold in smaller stores in our area. But 'healthy food and ecology' was just coming into style .We all knew that was a good thing but for fun, This was the perfect foil. [ that is ,,,if you're young and you think you'll live forever. we pretended it had magic powers!!![ it tasted like bubble gum.

The original soda that we used to get off the ice cream truck when I was growing up in Connecticut, was blue raspberry and wonderful. This new organic stuff they are selling is a total different direction. I have tried it and it is not horrible but the original is no longer available.

I can remember having Blue Sky soda once in the later 70s. I cannot remember what it tasted like. I thought it was cool because it was blue. If I remember correctly, I think it was an opaque blue, or milky blue, as opposed to a blue tinted clear liquid like most soft drinks.

I drank Blue Sky all through junior high and high school in the 70's. It was the joint, especially with a good hamburger smothered in onions. I've been searching but I can't find it anywhere. I've been looking for the old Perry's sodas too, especially the coconut-pineapple. I really wish someone would bring them back. They were so good!

When the 70s blue sky came out they finally gave up and were honest with us. It was blue but it was not berry flavored, it was chemical flavor. I loved it, but it did not taste like any known natural flavor.

I drank this soda in the 70s as a kid in Harlem NY. Stawberry cookies and sky blue the sugar rush was unreal and the acid fire. Wow

Polar makes a blue soda now in the PolarFROST line -- sugar free but fruit flavored, closest thing I've had to old Blue Sky. I miss that -- used to get it with my friend Ron, who passed away a couple of years ago.

Yeah man just remembering the old days on Webster in the Bronx...We drank Blue Sky cause it was blue and you'd seem cool Lol. Had no fruit flavor, but was the only blue soda and reminded me of star trek Wise onion and garlic and space invaders. The 70's was the best
