Description
Ice cream confection on a stick. Chocolate outer shell and banana and cherry ice cream in the middle...delicious...possibly the best ever made...used to get them when i lived in queens in the early eighties...

This particular ice cream broke my leg. I was living in upstate NY, and only ONE ice cream dude had it on his truck. As I was running toward the truck... pothole. CRACK!!! Worth it for the ice cream though. It was such a weird mix of flavors that worked, I firmly believe that this one little ice cream was responsible for Ben & Jerry's!

Strange. The Bomb Pops of MY 80s childhood were more like popsicles than ice cream, with a blue raspberry tip, white lemon center and red cherry bottom. The ice cream truck sold a similar item, 'Firecracker Pops', which were bigger and had the line-up of colors in reverse. Am I alone in this recollection???

SZA, you're right. That's the "Bomb Pop" I remember as well growing up on Long Island.
