The actual name of this product was The Peanut Butter Bopper. It was the best candy bar ever and I'm not saying that lightly.

they were the best candy bar ever. I can't find a photo. I do remember seeing them in the fridge in the movie lost boys.

These were the BEST snack food!!!! After watching the commercial link Sarah added. They were made by Nature Valley. I think we should start a campaign to bring them back!!!!

I had those peanut butter boppers like one time because my mother usually only shopped in the health food stores in the 80's and they were few and far between unlike now. Either way they were "very nice!!"

I remember having these waaaaay back in the 80s growing up. They didn't seem to be around for that long, but they sure were darn tasty. I forgot about them for a while, but if you watch the movie "The Lost Boys" you will see them in the fridge when Grandpa is telling Corey Haim and Jason Patric to stay out of his treats towards the start of the movie. Awesome movie! Even better treat! =P

I was just watching The Lost Boys the other day and in the kitchen there is a box of boppers. I don't know how you would get the clip on this page to show the box...but that would be awesome.

Couldnt you get these with a vanilia center as well? It would be great if they brought these back.

THANK YOU for letting me know I'm not insane for thinking I imagined these! Kashi or one of those other companies makes a "healthy" type version of these now, but it's not the same. It's a bit of a let-down, actually.

I did manage 2 find a picture for these so it'll be up there when the site gets around to it. But I worshipped these things! Y on earth would they stop making something sooo good?

I have come extremely close to duplicating these bars. My daughter kept talking about them and I had to try. She said that my recipe was perfection. I would sell the recipe I have concocted for $3 through PayPal. Email me at pattysmail@mail2world.com

Oh my goodness! So glad my sister and I are not crazy! In elementary school we were the only ones in our Catholic school that had them. For YEARS we have talked about them and wondered why they were no longer made. Would love to have them again. :)

Just watching an episode of Amazing Race and there's a guy named Bopper and it reminded me of Boppers granola bars. I could really go for one right now. That and Milk Break granola bars. Thoses were awesome too!

Thank you ALL! For years I couldn't remember the name. Boppers came with different centers, I remember fudge and peanut butter were my favourite. Brings good memories when my family would rent a hotel in Miami Beach and we would take a cooler packed with New York Seltzer and Boppers.

I need help - I have duplicated the recipe and have had many people tell me they are exactly as they remember them. I am trying to find a candy company that would use my recipe and make the boopers again. Email Hershey or Mars or all of them. My email address is pattysmail@mail2world.com

Sooooo good! The concept of the middle filling was fantastic. Obviously it was more candy bar than granola bar but damn they tasted good. I remember the mouth feel was excellent, creamy and super crunchy. The peanut butter was my fave!
