Description
I worked at Burger King in 1989 and they came out with two small mini burgers that were attached called Burger Buddies. 2 for . I remember them because the frozen patties were already attached and stayed that way through the grill, and the buns were too; but easy to break off and eat seperatly. Also - they were small enough to eat in a couple bites in the back room without being noticed for a quick snack!!

I worked at BK in 1987, and they were originally called "Burger Bundles", and did come in 3-packs. They were limited-time, of course. We used to fill the microwaves up with them in the morning, and munch on them all day while working. Fun times!

I was wondering what these were called. I often questioned if I had imagined it, after many failed web searches, until now! It is a trip down memory lane, of childhood!

Does anyone remember the Evander Holyfield "burger buddy" commercial? Not the breakfast buddy, but the original "burger buddy"? If anyone has video please share! Man, good times. I would totally pop a buddy in the mouth!

I work at a BK and we have them back for now, except they're called "Burger Shots". Makes me wonder if someone's been playing too much GTA4

The Burger Buddies were quite tasty as I recall, and were better in my opinion than the White Castle burgers I always got and still sometimes do whenever I am in Chicago. I will have to try the new Burger Shots, which were probably named for having a "macho" sound rather than having anything to do with video games or firearms.

Looks like they are back, I just saw a commercial for these as "Burger Shots"

Yup. Burger Bundles became Burger Buddies. And I don't remember a Simpsons campaign with them but I do remember an ALF campaign. Oh yeah! I can't believe they're bringing them back as Burger Shots. Horrible name, in my opinion. And the shots name is more in line with alcohol or coffee. Something small and quick.

Does any1 remember in the early 90's the a burger buddy commercial that was like claymation? It showed the 2 connected burgers falling in love & marrying. I know it aired alot during the simpsons.

I remember these fondly. I wasn't a big fan of Burger King at the time, but that's where my mom wanted to go and being ten I couldn't really protest. I had my orange My Pet Monster, Gwonk with me and we got some of these. I remember pretending to feed these to the monster.

Sliders just don't cut it. Burger Buddies were way better.

This was one of the coolest things BK ever did. I never got sick of eating them, and I was bummed the day I popped into a Burger King to find they were no longer available. Haven't tried the 'new' Burger Shots yet -- but I agree, a horrible name.

$.59 Buddy, you are my hero! "Would you pop a buddy in the mouth?" I had a co-worker who fought with me tooth and nail telling me this was a 90s thing. Every so often I say the catchphrase to my bf and he pretends he doesn't know what I'm going on about.

I can find no concrete information that BK ever had a product called Burger Buddies. Burger Bundles yes, Burger Buddies no

I used to eat these when I was 4! And that was in 1991. So they were around in the early 90's.

I rarely ate the Burger Buddies but man, those Breakfast Buddies with the Bacon had me in love. I ate them every morning after my mom dropped my sisters off at school (I was only 3-4 yrs. old) That was around '92 or '93.
