My son and I love Uncle Boyardee! We buy the beef ravioli in 6 or 8 packs from Costco. I was telling my wife about these the other day. She thought I was making the chicken ravioli up. Blue can right...I only had them once?

I don't remember the color of the can but it had little pieces of carrot and a chicken gravy type sauce. Mmmmmmm....

I LOVED the chicken ravioli! I had lots of stomach problems as a kid and the tomato sauces in the canned pastas were a lot of times too acidic for me, so I always got the chicken ravioli! Please bring it back!

Blue can, yes. It was one of the things my husband liked and could eat (he's had oral cancer and can only eat soft foods).

Does anyone know why the stopped making the Chicken Ravioli?
Bart - May 24, 2008 - Report this comment
The ravioli in the Blue Can. Each ravioli had there own colored can, like the cheese and the beef raviolis with tomato and meat sauce came in a red can. There was also the hard to find cheese ravioli in tomato sauce (no meat sauce) and it came in the yellow can. I want to say there was a green can, but maybe that was for the Pacman or Smurf pasta with sauce cans. Anyways, yeah... chicken ravioli gave me and my friends the toots something fierce come recess, but we didn't care. They were so dang good.

Ohhhh! I loved that stuff! I wish they still made it.

I adored these. I would sell a brother or two to get these back. There were two kinds if I remember...a chicken ravioli in a more broth like sauce and a chicken ravioli in a creamier sauce. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!!!

SO many people think that I have made these up! They did come in a blue can!!! What must we do to bring them back on the market!!!
Maximkane - April 15, 2009 - Report this comment
I believe that the green can belonged to the "healthy" chef boyardee. Lower sodium (don't ever look at the sodium ammount on the label) and fat.

OMG! I used to get these for my kids when they were little and we'd have them with Ritz cracers for lunch! They were soooo good! Completely and totaly detest anything else by Chef Boyardee.Foul, disgusting sad excuses for pasta, but those were fantastic. They REALLY need to put these back on the market.I never walk by that section in a supermarket without looking...just in case...

I went to the Chef Boyardee website and told them exactly what I said in my previous post. I suggest that everyone that reads this and feels the same do likewise.Maybe they will realize that they should have marjeted the item better rather than discontinue it.We can only hope.

I thought I was the only person who knew or cared about the Chicken Ravioli. I'm sitting here eating a micro-bowl of CB mini raviolis, but I'd be so much happier with the chicken.
Megan - September 12, 2009 - Report this comment
I remember Chicken Ravioli. How can I forget! I ate it atleast 5 times a week. I loved this stuff! Wish I could find it again :(
Alyssa - October 01, 2009 - Report this comment
Apparently I really liked the Chicken Ravioli as a kid. I also remember the blue can.. light blue maybe? I've always wondered why they got rid of it. Even if they just brought it back for a limited time it'd be pretty cool. I'd but it for sure
larry - November 25, 2009 - Report this comment

I loved this stuff, my Mom used to buy it by the case from Sam's club or Price club as it was called back then. I would love to buy it for my kids, the definitely need to bring it back.

A store within walking distance from my first apartment used to sell it there. I ate this for lunch at least 3-4 times a week back in the summer of 1985. I haven't seen it since then, wish they'd bring it back.

I'm happy to see that there other people who remember chicken ravioli^_^ I loved this stuff when I was a little girl and I remember the blue can. When my late mother once asked me why I don't like chicken ravioli anymore I told her that I haven't seen chicken ravioli in years. I didn't even know they stopped making it. So I went to the chef boyardee website and asked them why they stop making chicken ravioli. They told me that they don't have any records of it. I was disappointed at that answer. They could've at least have some archives of their products that they sell.

We really liked these too, and were dissapointed when it was no longer availabe.I have yet to find out WHY? Obviously people want it. I do think that the Campbells Co. had bought out Chef Boyardee and in my opion the beef ravioli tastes differnt (not for the better). Such a shame as now no here one wants it anymore.

I too looooved the chicken ravioli and would eat it all the time when I would get home from school in 1984-1985 like there was no tomorrow. I miss that so much and have also looked from time to time to see if it has magically appeared back on the supermarket shelves but no such luck! I do also recall it being in a blue can. I just checked Google to see if maybe there was at least a picture of it under images but there's nothing there. Darn it. I'm going to Chef Boyardee's site now to make a request that they bring it back! Join me if you haven't already!

Everyone thought I was crazy when I told them about chicken ravioli in the blue can.. Why did they ever do away with them, chickens supposed to be better for you anyways.

OMG! I'm so glad I found this! I still get cravings for chicken ravioli even though I haven't seen it in years! It was the only Chef Boyardee product I liked, perfect comfort food for days when I felt rotten. I stopped buying their products when they got rid of it. Once you've had one can of tomato-sauce-product-thing, you've had them all.

People look at me crazy whenever I mention chicken ravioli by chef boyardee! My grandmother would buy it for me all the time when I was a little girl, then all of a sudden we went the grocery one day & there werent any. Never saw them again. I'd prefer them over beef ravioli anyday!!! Bring'um Back!

I just googled chef boyardee chicken ravioli to prove to my non-believing roommate that it did exist and did come in a blue can. My search led me hear. Now she can see i'm not the only one that remembers them.

They had chicken pasta too...maybe not chef boyardee but they had like zoodles or alphagetti type pasta in chicken sauce too..was really good.

somebody above mentioned the cheese ones. Those are the ones I miss. I still look for them occasionally, but it's just the meat stuffed ones, which are ok, but not really worth the junkfood factor: enjoyment ratio.

Walmart has Chicken Ravoli. Im a 1991 baby so I dont know food of the 80's, but when I typed in Chicken Ravoli this page came up so I thought I would let you know Walmart now has it.

I loved the chicken ravioli! I remember it in the mid 80s. I didn't like red sauce so my mom would buy this and I loved it,then it just disappeared. I will look at walmart next time I go and see if it's the same ravioli as the mid 80s.

The chicken ravioli that Chef Boyardee makes now, is nothing like the chicken ravioli from the 80's that everyone is talking about! I too, thought I was the only one that remembered the Blue can of deliciousness that was Chef Boyardee chicken ravioli!!! I want the old stuff back! I have been craving it for almost 30 years!
erin - September 29, 2014 - Report this comment
The new chicken ravioli is gross...nothing like the old stuff!!! How can we get them to make the old kind that we all loved so much??? I've been looking for images of the can for the last hour!

Now that I think about it, the chicken ravioli in the blue can was the FIRST time in my life I tried a pasta sauce that *wasn't* tomato-based. I now prefer Alfredo/cheese sauces or olive-oil based seafood sauces to what some people consider "real" pasta sauce: Only red/only tomato based. I wish they'd bring it back too.

It's called "Chicken Ravioli in a Creamy White Sauce." I tried to add an image from an old ad I found online, but to no avail. Google, and it will come up along with 3 newspaper advertisements. Sooooo good! I've also asked they bring it back years ago and got the thanks for being supportive. Next thing I know that chicken ravioli in TOMATO sauce came out: NOT the same thing! At least supply a similar recipe so I can make it at home.
Brian - August 24, 2017 - Report this comment
I agree. I have been searching for years. I ate them all the time when I was a kid. I have missed them, I try different recipes and come close, but is still not the same. I was really heartbroken when they released the chik rav in tomato sauce. It was like a slap in the face. Maybe there should be a petition.
Pasta girl - June 19, 2018 - Report this comment
It’s backkkkkkkk
Brian - January 18, 2020 - Report this comment
No it’s not back, the stuff they released is not in a creamy white sauce instead it is in a tomato sauce and tastes weird. Nothing like the original at all. Way to tease us Chef boyardee, not cool.
Dragonkeeper - November 29, 2020 - Report this comment
I've been praying for the return of these and agree about it being a slap in the face with the tomato based chicken ravioli being thrown at us. Lol, try calling Chef Boyardee and they won't even acknowledge it's existence.

From the Saturday morning cartoon vault, a Chef Boy Ar Dee commercial with several boys playing guerilla warfare. Separately, they eat different canned pastas. One ate the chicken ravioli, and sauce was all over his face. This aired during "Garfield & Friends" on CBS in Oct., 1989. The hour-long show had a great "Garfield" cartoon with Pat Buttram as Jon's cousin Cactus Jake. To save his dude ranch from foreclosure, Jake enters Jon in a bucking bronco contest with a $5000 first prize. Disguised as "Shorty," Garfield uses hot peppers to ensure Jon wins. Garfield then feeds Jake's horse the peppers, with Jake mounted on! The peppers make the horses go berserk!
