Description
These were snack crackers that still exist today.... They are shaped like chickens, are very greasy and actually made with real chicken (which part?). They have an almost pwdery coating. They are excellent with Easy Cheese

mr description guy-i love you, really,BUT they arent shaped like chickens-they are little rectangles with wavy edges.PNUTBUTTERPRINCESS82-you crack me up! anyhoo, these crackers were excellent until they took out the transfat-now they taste like crap.i want to start the revolution to kill all people who want to ban transfat.at least give us 2 varieties-transfat free and tasty,im just sayin'.it may be great for our kids(because they dont remember anything else, but us older people who remember what good food tastes like are going through withdrawel(i know i smelled that wrong)i dont do drugs or drink anymore-PLEASE AT LEAST GIVE ME SOME TRANSFAT!!!

Um, crazy amy is right - they're NOT shaped like chickens, they're rectangular shaped. Always have been since I was a kid. And I loved them as a kid and I love them as much today. Every time I finish a box I always want to have another box to start on. They're that good.

These were WAY better when they were called Dixies and were light crackers shaped like drumsticks, instead of the greasy, thick crackers they are now.

I think the original recipe from the 80s had a ton of MSG in it or something. I always felt kind of sleepy or woozy after eating them. The flavor was so strong it was kind of like eating a cracker covered in instant ramen seasoning.

I guess they weren't stocked in the tiny hometown grocery stores where I grew up, so my first experience with these was at the beginning of my military service. I bought them at the BX/PX out of curiosity and they were the BBQ flavored ones. I was an instant fan of these and never tried any other flavor except the BBQ. My biggest complaint and much to my disappointment, is that ever since I left the Air Force, I have NEVER been able to find the BBQ flavored ones. So my question is: Do they still make the BBQ flavored ones or not? And to comment on the earlier comments... Yes, born in 1976, I can confirm that snacks were A LOT tastier back in the 1980s.
