No one else remembers chocolate fruit roll ups!!! Everytime I would ask someone if they remembered them, they'd always give me this crazy look lol!!! They were amazing....I loved them!!! Being a kid in the 80's was great!!!

If I remember correctly, they were called Pudding Roll ups. Can't recall who made them. LOL and yes, they did taste like plastic.

I defiantely remember them...they were the best!!! I don't know why they stopped making some of the best things from when I was a kid!! And I know what you mean....no one I ever ask ever remembers them, except my sister..lol!!!

The only thing bad about being an 80's kid is they no longer make the stuff we loved as kids. I remember going to the Alpha Beta around the corner from our house and buying these. The plastic taste was the best.

OMG!!!! I remember the pudding rollups! Butterscotch was my fave. Side note: How come now all the fruit rollups have thoes punch outs? makes it really hard to eat them like u did when you were a kid. U know... wrapped around ur finger. Just not the same :(

I'm glad I found this site, because everyone I talk to doesn't believe me when I tell them there used to be chocolate fruit roll ups. They kinda reminded me a tad of the chocolate tootsie pops, only less ... dare I say "hard candy tasting", but I also read someone in here mentioning a plastic aftertaste, yeah they kind of did. Artificial flavorings have come a long way with submolecular chemistry in the last 15 years. You know, though, I never liked chocolate for the most part, but I liked these, and Faygo chocolate cola.

they also had butterscotch at that time. They stopped makin them after only a short period of time :( no one remembers them but me and apparently all of you :D

I loved the chocolate roll ups. like you guys most people give me a weird look a few other friends of mine remember them. I never heard of the butterscotch ones but wouldnt doubt they existed. With all this throwback stuff being sold now (mt. dew throwback etc.) I wish they would make a throwback chocolate roll ups. Dunno why they got rid of them in the first place.

I remember them. I loved them so! I just had a chocolate laffy taffy that tasted eerily similar to the chocolate fruit roll up taste I remember.

I was 4 years old in 1988, I'm 28 now, and I remember the chocolate fruit roll-ups. They were delicious and like everybody else posted, NOBODY believes me when I bring it up. I think there is one website www.toplessrobot.com that even mentions them. I wrote Betty Crocker about this and was responded by the company saying that they were discontinued due to it not being popular. Sad days.

I bought them for my kids and ended up eating them myself. I want them back too!!! Looking for a recipe for them.
