Loved Nestle's Chocolite! It was what made me fall in love with chocolate, way back in the 70s!

Do you know where I can find a picture of the Chocolite wrapper?

I remember the commercial with the cauldron of chocolate "bubbling up" so I guess that's where the bubbles in the chocolite came from. The Aero bar made in Canada is very similar. Now, if they would only bring back the Marathon Bar! I know Cadbury has the Curly Wurly Bar in Canada, but it has nut allergens in it. I remember when the $100,000 bar didn't have nuts in it and I remember those commercials and jingles too! "Extra rich in caramel!"

Loved Chocolite, each little piece had that half-moon shaped design that reminded me of windows. It's true, Aero is close, but not very close to Chocolite. Remember the commercial where the weird science guy was putting tiny bubbles into the chocolate?

Wow - I have been wracking my brains trying to figure out what this was called; all I could remember was light and fluffy, and brown and yellow wrapper. But all it took was a bit of googling to find it! I loved this candy bar; glad to know that there is something close to it still out therre....I might have to try it!

This was my favorite candy bar when I was little. Nestle please bring it back. Aero is not the same it lacks the texture and taste not as smooth nor little crisp bits.

Actually they just brought back a bar in England that is probably the closest thing to a Chocolite. It's called a Wispa. They are so great!

Loved the candy bar. All I remember is the commercial when i was a little girl. It had a girl, I think a cartoon type person, riding on the candy bar and it had wings.

Hershey has now come out with something called "Air Delight" and it is "An Exciting New Chocolate Experience" in the form of kisses! Maybe they got it right with this candy since for me the Aero bar only made me wish for Choco-Lite... :-) I agree, you can get so many other "throwback" candy bars, why not our favorite??
kimsational - July 02, 2011 - Report this comment
Hershey now has the Air Delight candy bar, which is VERY reminiscent of the Chocolite bar. So glad to get that taste/texture again, as Chocolite was my favorite candy as a kid. Now, if I can just use some control and restraint with these new bars. . . . ;-)

Yeah, ditto on those Hershey Air Delight comments! When I saw the commercial for those for the first time, I was immediately reminded of Chocolite. I have yet to try them, so I am still wondering if they do it close to justice...you never forget the taste or smell of something!

Anybody remember the fruit n cream Twinkies from the 80's?
Charlie - January 06, 2014 - Report this comment
Whoops! Wrong page with the Twinkie comment. But check out the Chocolite commercial from 1975 on youtube

I always saw the commercials for "Choco-lite" on Saturday morning between cartoons. I didn't think there was anything special about plain chocolate with 'bubbles' in it. But was I wrong. Then Nestle took it off the market. They have a European bar called "Aero", but it is not the same.

Ahh I was sooo excited when Hershey air delight came out, I immediately thought of Chocolite, but it wasn't the same :(

I loved these bars. I would buy them as a huge single bar and they had all the tiny air bubbles in it and it had a smooth flavor

They were my favorite candy bar of all time. I have tried Aero and Wispa. Both are pretty good. Wispa is the best of the two but it still don't live up to a Choco-lite. I am 54 years old and I can still remember how good they were. Nestle, PLEASE bring the back!
