Does anyone recall who manufactured Corn Diggers or which company made these. And are these available any more? These were my favorite corn chips, perfect with dip.

I loved those chips and have been trying to find them for years. It's good to seee I'm not alone in this quest.

I believe they were put out by Nabisco. They were released with 3 other products (one of which was called Potato Crispers, I can't recall the other 2). -QG

Corn Diggers were the best snack food ever! Leave it to Nabisco to ruin a good thing.

My brother's favorite snack was Corn Diggers and they were delicious, but I preferred the Potato Crispers. I haven't seen any of these in ages and was beginning to think I had dreamed them up. So glad to know that I'm not crazy and that other people remember them too. Now, I just wish they would make them again!!

When I was in high school (early eighties) we always had corn diggers at parties. The were my favorite munchie. I had been trying to see if they were still made. Bring them back. I'd by them by the case.

I use to love the corn Diggers. When I would ask my sister about them she says she cannot remember them. I loved them...wish they would still make them.

they ARE STILL around... Walmart has them... there was a big fuss because the "Diggers" looks like it says "Niggers"
Tim - October 01, 2009 - Report this comment
What Walmart has is completely different than the Corn Diggers of the 70s and 80s.

I'm so tired of everything being to compared to someone's race. There is nothing wrong with the name "Diggers"! The blacks always get offended but it seems funny they have some of the worst language going!!!

I miss Corn Diggers probably more than any other chip that has gone off the market. I looked for them for years after they disappeared from the grocery stores. They were deilicious. As far as the name, HELLO, they were made of corn, and shaped so you could "dig" them into dip! People kill me with their political correctness.

This is hilarious! I had no idea there was a chip by that name. When I was a kid in the south in the early 80's, a "corn digger" was another name for a redneck - because they used dried, eaten corn cobs to wipe with! LOL!!

I'm sitting here eating Bugles and I can't stop thinking about the "Corn Diggers" I used to eat in the early 80's. Was it a dream? Did they ever really exist? I knew they had, but even still, I had to look it up online to see if anyone else remembered these delicious little gems... And voila! Here you all are! Yay!! So glad I'm not alone!! LOL!

Maybe there's hope. They just brought back O'Boisies chips. I'm not a big fan of those but I would knock an old lady down to get me some Corn Diggers.

These were the BEST snack EVER!!! I have asked tons of people about these and no one remembers them. Thank goodness you all do! Yes, they were called Corn Diggers, by Nabisco. They came in a cracker sized box at first, then a bag. The other type of snack out around the same time was called Chipsters. They were yummy too. Bugles are similar..but nowhere near the same yummy taste as Diggers. Oh PLEASE Nabisco...bring them back! I even called Nabisco once & the person I talked to was too young to remember them & thought I was crazy! I too would buy them by the case! Maybe if we all write/call them & request the return of Diggers!

I remember them. They were sooooo good! As far as the name goes, people just want something to gripe about. They need to get that chip off their shoulder. No pun intended.

I remember corn diggers. They tasted better than the bugles that are sold now. There was also an awesome dip recipe on the back of the product. I wish I could find that. Bring them back!
