Description
These were granola bars that were coated with something simlar to yogurt coating. I think there were several flavors, and chocolate chip stands out in my mind. They were more like a candy bar in nutritional value but since they had "granola" we all thought they were oh-so-good-for-you!!!

I remember them! My favorite was the peanut butter chocolate chip, which had a peanut butter waxy coating. These were crunchy and melted on hikes.

wow! These bars were my favorite! The peanut butter and chocolate chip ones were awesome! I can't remember who made them but have tried several others and they were just too sweet. Sure wish this company would bring them back!!!!!!!

Yeah, Crunchola didn't last long because they would melt and were more like candy, and the health concious people probably got them removed for false advertizing or something, but they were still good. I think I last had one in 1977 or 78. Then Nature Valley took over and didn't see one ever again. They were really more like a softer version of "Watchamacallit"'s. I remember they would melt in my mouth. Peanut Butter was the best really.

I used to get them almost every day in Jr. High school after lunch. I'd always get the peanut butter ones. On some occasions, I'd get a Marathon bar instead (remember those?).

I remember these! I LOVED them back in the late 70's and probably put on 10lbs from having the munchies and not being able to stop at just one bar. The granola was extra crunchy and the peanut butter was extra creamy and melty. I do recall they were made with palm oil so probably not so healthy after all.

My Grandpa worked where they made those. They also had Orange and Strawberry yogurt flavored Crunchola as well. I REALLY wish I could have one of those now.

I loved the peanut butter crunchola bars too! My mom used to buy them and I would eat them after elementary and junior high school. I wish there was a recipe for them.
