Introduced in 1982, Diet Coke shot up the charts to become the uncontested #4 soft drink in America (with only Coke, Pepsi, and 7-Up ahead of it) by the end of 1983. By 1984 it was comfortably nestled in the #3 spot.

It is hard to believe I drank Tab before this! And now look at all the diet drinks out there!

This had to be the worst-tasting diet drink ever. Diet Pepsi was better, which seems strange because I thought regular Coke was infinitely superior to regular Pepsi.

I agree with Jeff 100%. I don't like the taste of Diet Coke. But thank god they also came out with Coke Zero. Diet Pepsi >> Diet Coke Coke >> Pepsi. Kinda strange isn't it?

Aubree, Diet Coke never had sugar in it, if it did it wouldn't have been diet!
