This stuff seems to be getting harder to find in the stores. I hope they never get rid of it-when I can't find my favorite (diet vanilla pepsi) i get diet rite-it's good!

I used to buy a bottle of White Grape Diet Rite and drink it out of a champagne flute in class to try to annoy a professor that I disliked. Also I would eat Brie and crackers.

Too bad they don't make any other flavors any more. It's still one of my favorites.

Diet Rite Grapefruit was da bomb. Fresca is our only choice now.

I don't think the fruit flavors were introduced until the 90's

Diet Rite was introduced in 1963 by Royal Crown Company. From the prime time TV vault, a "taste test" commercial, comparing Diet Rite with Tab and Diet Pepsi. This aired on "Fame," a syndicated episode from Sept., 1983. Episode centers on cynical Bruno (Lee Curreri). After his father dies, Bruno no longer can afford tuition to remain in School Of The Arts. Music teacher Sharofsky (Albert Hague) arranges for him to work as waiter and musician in a restaurant. Curreri left the show during the season. Lori Singer had left to co-star in "Footloose." A hard-nosed school principal, Morloch (Ken Swofford), among the new regulars.
