It tasted just like orange Hi-C, so it was quite gimmicky, but Slimer on the box made it worth buying.

it was orange hi-c. I used to drink it at my grandmother's house ever time I went there.

This was a tangerine-lime flavor. It took me a long time to figure out what it tasted like because it was always so acidy-tart in taste. I still crave for this flavor to this day! Best flavor ever! i still try to imitate this flavor by mixing sprite + orange + splash of rootbeer.. close but not really.. sigh...

This is now Shoutin Orange Tangergreen for anyone still looking

Shoutin Orange Tangergreen was discontinued in 2007. And EC was definitely not orange Hi-C, it was tangerine with some lime flavor. This was a staple mixer at parties when I was in my twenties--we'd mix it with frozen vodka or rum and it was incredible. If Minute Maid was smart they'd bring it back.

Ecto cooler was Hi-C Citrus Cooler or Citrus Punch before Ghostbusters came out. Even before it became Ecto cooler it was in a green Hi-C can. I used to freeze it in my mom's ice cube trays. I loved it!!!

Orange Lavaburst is what the company recommends if you ask them about Ecto Cooler/Orange Tangergreen. It's close, but still not the same.

It came in an over-sized looking tomato can. My favorite of all the kids "juices."

This drink killed cottonmouth. I loved it.

Loved and remembered these cans! You had to use a metal opener. Loved the taste of metal as you'd drink any of these flavors.

Well, Ecto Cooler is back (well, I don't know if it still is, but it was a couple months ago because of the new Ghostbusters movie). I got some, and...I guess you can't go back again. It's still really good, it just doesn't taste exactly the same as I remember.
Kyle67 - May 22, 2017 - Report this comment
Great that they are back, but we really need the metal cans. Erich77 is right when he says you need to taste the metal.
Jim 247 - September 21, 2017 - Report this comment
Yes, the metal cans added to the taste! How could that be? It did, it did
