This takes me way back. I remember ordering an Enchirito "minus onions plus olives" when I was little. They still have them now, but they are nothing at all like they used to be!!!!!

does anybody remember when "The Bell" had dinners instead of a single item menu?

I work at a Tacobell restaraunt that has KFC as well, and we have enchritos, but i've never tried one.

How could you eat an Enchirito without onions on it?? At least you did get the olives. These things were awesome! I haven't had one in over twenty-five years (I believe they cost 60 cents at that time), so I'm going to go to Taco Bell and get one. If I get back here I'll let you know if it tastes the same. I think the key to the Enchirito was the enchilada sauce. It had a unique flavor.

I agree--the onions, and olives made it great, in addition to the sauce and cheese. Enchritos now, are not as good. Also-remember the tostada supreme (with sour cream). Now they just have the Tostoda.

I remember they also had a special enchirito with "green" sauce. There was a period that they came in a white dish with clear plastic cover. The dish is/was dishwasher safe and microwave safe. I used to have two, but am down to one. Was a special deal almost as good as a dish in a box of DUZ laundry detergent

Enchiritos in the eighties were way better than today. They were bigger, had way more filling and cheese, and had black olives on top. I was so disappointed with what they have now that I made my own.

We have them here in Ft.Worth,Tx.but they don't add the black olives anymore for some reason!

Everything from Taco Bell was better in the 80s. The BOILED crap they serve now is a joke!

They stopped using the corn tortillas at some point, and they've never been the same. Then they take away the black olives; that really sucked. They need to go back to their original food, instead of all this crappy new stuff they keep trying out. Chicken chips?! Eww!

The Chilada from Taco Casa is a pretty good dupe for the enchirito. Olives and all!
