Surprise Surprise! These are my favorite cookies! I hadn't seen them in the store for ages. Today, I found them in Stater Bros. in Phelan, Ca. (High Desert in So. Cal.) I am going to keep my eyes out for them in other Stater Bros. The bad news is that they didn't taste as rich and good as I remember them.

These were the BEST cookies by a long shot. I'm shocked that someone found them (see previous comment)! Gotta start the search myself!

They're definitely back - we bought the vanilla ones at a Stater Bros. in Newport Beach last weekend (Jan. 27). They're a bit shorter and thicker than I remember but the taste is exactly the same. They cost $3.49 a package but it was worth it!

Not quite as good, but the Keebler Fudge Sticks are as close as I can find to my beloved Flaky Flix. Let Kellogs know how you feel, they just might bring them back.

In 1989 when I was in 8th grade and my sister was in 7th grade, we each bought a package of Flaky Flix at Safeway after school and ate the whole package of cookies before we got home because we were afraid our mom would get mad that we bought cookies...We ate the WHOLE package no joke within a block of the store and then during the next block we puked them all back up..hahaha..but we totally loved those cookies and now I want them soooo bad, definitely definitely definitely Flaky Flix need to be back. My absolute favorite cookie growing up. I'd go grocery shopping with my mom, and we would have a package done half way through the shopping LOL.

Smartest thing I ever did was, when Mothers quit making Flaky Flix I ran out and bought every package I could get my hands on and put them in the freezer. It is now Aug. 2015, and been a couple of years since I've eaten a package, I think it's time to open another one. Oh I wish you could all be there. This was Prepping at it's best, who needs bullets, canned food, barrels of water...I got what I need. Amen

miss those little guys, always had to ration them or they'd all be gone. had forgotten about them (almost 50 here) but while eating a kit-kat tonight the memories came rushing back. I then went online to see if perhaps they still exist, and find myself here instead.

Hands down the best production cookie EVER!! The fudge filled ones were the bomb, I use to eat them "sideways" like a typewriter chomping down one thin layer at a time, lol. Ahh the most wonderful memories of childhood. Does anybody remember Pillsbury Space Food Sticks? The peanut butter ones were my favorite. And the "stir n frost" cake kits, came with its own pan.. the frosting in the "squirt it out" bag was soooooo good.. I Always managed to have just enough to frost the cake. Sure miss the simpler days..
