The best dogs ever! My Dad always had to buy two kinds of hot dogs; cheese stuffed for my sister, Frankenstuff for me. Dad ate both... not a picky eater, like most Dads. Everytime I'm in the store I look for them... wishful thinking, I guess.

I grew up on these Chili infused masterpieces, the best part was putting them in the microwave and biting into a warm hotdog only to lose half of your taste buds when the 10,000 degree chili hit your tongue, it was the best!!!

Loved these!!! Finally - chili dogs that were fairly neat! I miss these terribly, and am trying to recall who made them

I'm 99.9% positive that Hormel made these (with an outside shot that it was Armour), damn they were awesome.

These dogs were amazing! I saw above that one person still looks for them in the grocery store ...ME TOO! I really wish someone would bring these back to market. There's a whole new generation of kids that would love them!

I'm not the only one! I LOVED these, as all little obese kids did. Put it in the microwave for 30 seconds....Hot dog? Ice cold. Chili? Hot as the surface of the sun. Does anybody remember how they would explode in the microwave after about 60 seconds?

Was Hormel for sure. I remember them blowing up..what a mess! But they were so good. I used to make Frankenstuff Hot Dogs after school, with a bag of Crunch Taters (barbeque)..now both are no longer obtainable. Followed by some chewy Bonkers Candy.

My all time favorite food was the chili frankenstuff. It pained me greatly to find this site and learn they haven't been made in years. Means I'm old and I can't get them! Argh!

Yes it was Hormel that made these, unfortunately they stopped making them because of cost and lack of market. Kids loved them, Mom's did not but eventually the cost was too large for their small appeal. I too remember the lava hot chili squishing out and incinerating my tongue. The were too expensive to buy I recall from regular hot dogs so I didn't get to eat them that often. Johnsonville makes a chili flavor cheese sausage now.
