Description
Chewy fruit snacks that came in strawberry, orange, lemon, and grape. Shaped like either numbers or letters or animals. SOOO GOOD! This was before fruit snacks got way too chewy.

The ones I remember coming in letter, number and animal shapes were Fun Fruits... Fruit Corners, IIRC, was the name of the company that originally made Fruit Roll-Ups before Betty Crocker bought them. But I agree, modern fruit snacks have an unpleasant texture. At some point, all the fruit snack manufacturers started adding a lot of gelatin to their snacks, probably because it was cheap, which I think is why a lot of people have commented that they have an overly chewy or gelatinous texture compared to the 80s ones.
