I used to buy these by the case when I could find them. Best tasting candy ever. Was mae by Worl Candies. They don't deal retail and I haven't seen this candy since 1987. Would love to have a source for this candy. There were basic fruit flavors in one box and tropical fruit flavors in a rarer version of this great candy. The texture was just a little bit softer than their candy cigarettes which they still sell as candy sticks. I do miss these things!

I loved these also. I can still remember exactly how they tasted. They were thin and kind of chalky....really good!

It was the best tasting candy ever invented!! I went to the world's largest candy store at the county fair. They had every candy from back in the day except..you guessed it, fruit faces. I cried :-)

There is an auction on Ebay that includes an empty box from Fruit Face!! I can't paste the link, I guess, but it's the first picture I've ever found!! It includes empty packages of multiple candy items, and it is already at over $100!

This and delfa rolls were my favorite. Around easter, the fruit faces became funny bunnies.

I just made a fruit smoothie that tasted just like fruit face candy and it prompted me to search. I think about this candy all of the time. The smoothie had 1 cup of water, 1 refrigerated orange, 1/2 cup refrigerated raspberries and 2 tablespoons of wildflower honey. Give it a try.

It's as if this candy never existed. I can't find traces of it anywhere online. Might have to go to the library. We are not crazy! Loved this candy so much. Used to eat it as a kid in Philly during the late 70s with tons of soft pretzels.

This has to be a dream or a nightmare. No one can find any info on the greatest candy of all time. Everyone's description on this post is 100% accurate

you are all NOT crazy...i remember fruit face...it was a box the size of the lemonheads box and it had a dancing orange, cherry and grapes on the front of the box, and i too cannot even find a pictur of it

Fruit Face! This existed! Every allowance I would run across the street from the apartment I lived in in York, PA & grab at least 2 boxes of these. Their were approx 4 faces on each strip that looked about the size of 3/4ths a postage stamps wide & about as tall as 2-3 of them! Each strip was either the basic 4 flavors: cherry, orange, grape & lemon. Not sure they ever had other flavors. Unlike the picture posted above & the video ... they were NOT frozen treats. They were pasty chalk candys like flattened candy cigarettes. But were WAY better tasting. I think 25cents a box? Been on a mission for about 6-7 years scouring the web. I haven't given up yet!

I think we need a Kick starter to help get them produced again! I have dreamt of these for years. Does anyone remember the flavored candy cigs that were the same flavors and soft texture? They came in grape, orange and cherry. Longer than normal candy digs. They must have been made by the same company.

The last time I purchased Fruit Face was in Carlisle Pa. in the early 1990's, at a flea market called Silver Springs. There was an indoor vendor with a lot of older candy... This is also the last place I could buy the flavored candy cigarettes - that were in 100's size boxes - that were flavored chocolate, mint, orange, grape and cherry. I believe they were also made by World Candy Co. These were NOT chocolate - they were candy cigarettes - long ones - just like the long ones made by Stark (which are also gone). Difference was - they were flavored and colored. Still cannot find anything close to fruit face either... They re-released tart n tiny's again - but they are not quite the same. they are OK - but not exactly what they were. I am waiting on wacky wafers - which are supposed to be out soon !!! Still need Caravelle, Butternut, Milkshake, Chocolite, Marathon (although curly wurly is close) and of course bubs daddy bubble gum...

I remember Fruit Faces very well. I have searched and searched and can not find one single picture. AND NO none of us are crazy!!! They were square shaped candies in the box the size of lemon heads, the same texture as a candy cigarette, maybe a little smoother texture. IF ANYONE FINDS THEM PLEASE PROVIDE A PICTURE!! I have been trying to explain these to my co-workers during our retro-candy discussion.

Lisa: Pinterest has a picture of the candies, REALLY zoomed in to show facial detail. They were made from 1972 to 1991 in Brooklyn, by World Candies. Haven't seen a wrapper shot yet, but there may be one. Also, try flickr.com

These were so good. Last time I saw them was probably 30 years ago when I was 10 or 11. If they brought them back they'd probably ruin them like they did Sweet-tarts...

i wrote wold confections candy, this was their response: Good afternoon Susan, Thanks for your email, and thank you for remembering Fruit Faces candy! Although they existed only before my time at this company, I receive plenty of emails from old customers and fans about how much they loved Fruit Faces Candy. Sadly these items have been discontinued for quite some time, and are no longer produced by World Confections, Inc. We’re only left with great memories, and a few pictures! I wish I could be more helpful, and thank you again for writing to us. Best Regards, Drew Cohen World Confections, Inc. 14 South Orange Ave South Orange, NJ 07079 Ph. 718-768-8100
