Fudgetown cookies were made by Burry http://www.flickr.com/photos/60585948@N00/70520857/in/set-1499962/ The ones I remember had a cowboy on the package. Vanilla cookies with fudge filling.

Burry biscuits of Elizabeth, NJ made Fudgetown cookies with chocolate cookies and fudge cream filling. Keebler made a vanilla cookie version, but it was NOT marketed as "Fudgetown".

Fudgetown were great with ice cold milk. My mom would send them to me when I was in Germany. I would have to hide them from my kids. They would accidently drop theirs in their milk. Leave it there for a few minuites and call it fudgetown pudden. Please bring fudgetown back.

Dare fudge cookies are close if not identical to Fudgetown. I thought F'town became the all-chocolate EL Fudge, which was discontinued after several years. Have to try Mother's fudge cookies, now made by Kelloggs on the West Coast. (Amazon).

Seems like more of a 70's product than 80's

Oh my goodness, I LOVED these. I remember first eating them back in the early 80s, around 1982 or so. My mom always bought them and they were my favorite cookie from about age 4 to 6. Then we couldn't find them anymore. Such a shame...I loved them.

Oh, my stars and gardens! Those were DELECTABLE!!!!! I liked splitting the “sandwich”, peeling off the layer of fudge “icing” and saving it for last!

The Fudgetown cookie was my favorite growing up in the 80s. The closest thing I've found was a chocolate horseshoe cookie filled with chocolate buttercream at a bakery in NC. Fantastic!
