Description
I am not sure if thuis is where I should be writing, but I am so excited to see someone remembers this taffy. It was my favorite as I kid and I have been searching for years for it. I have contacted many candy companys and candy stores that specialize in "extinct" candy and no one has heard of it. Do you know if there is any place to find it? It was so good, but we were forbidden to buy it (I had to sneak it into the house all the time) as it pulled out my brothers cap! I hope to hear from you!

That's exactly how I feel about it - I've been looking all over for it as well. Have you had any luck locating it?

I loved the stuff too ... Same story as above, bought it at recess in public school at Beckers in Uxbridge. Green sticky stuff with black flecks in it. Looked nasty but tasted pretty darn good!! I've looked for the stuff, to show my kids - but yeah, pretty sure it's extinct. Glad to see there are a few of us that remember green Gargoyle taffy...lol!!!

My Brother and I were just talking about this stuff. The best! We were hoping to find a picture! Cavity puller for sure! what colour was the label? I picture a red background with green gargoyle. The the taffy was all green! Killer stuff!

I too have memories of buyin it, for some reason I thought the specks were blue in the taffy. The same company had another one at the same time that was pink and was eithe space or rocket ship themed. They were both awesome

I am the original poster and am so glad others remember this delicious Green taffy with black specks. And yes it had a wrapper with a red back ground and black/green gargoyle or something on it! I can't believe I still can't find anything on this!

I swear I remember what was described, but all my life I remember it being called Gorgon. It had the dark crystallized chunks in it, and sure did rip out fillings. I remember it from sometime around late 70,s early 80’s in Nelson BC.

I was sure it was called Gargoyle Crunch Taffy. Was the most amazing thing ever!

I believe it was called GORGON, and we bought it at the Becker's as well. My sister and I used to ride our bikes past the corner store, and go a mile further to the 'forbidden' store on Saturdays to buy it with our allowance! I can't so much as find a pic of it :( To bad these things are forgotten....
