Description
these awesome and tasty breakfast treats came twin wrapped in a foil/paper pouch and boxed in 4 packages (containing 2 squares each) by general mills, i believe. description: 2 1/2 inches x 2 1/2 inches in size, about an 3/4 of an inch thick and came in 3 flavors...vanilla, spicey or cinnamon and chocolate. these bars were dry, layered cake-like, but hard and somewhat "crumby" and were frosted accordingly with the flavor of the square...my favorite was chocolate...then they came out with the variety box featuring all flavors. I never see them and haven't for years. it's my best guess that they were introduced in the mid to late 70's and vanished in the early to mid 80's.

I too would like to see these Breakfast Squares go back into production. I can't believe in this day and age of nutriction bars that they are not available. They were the FIRST such bar, weren't they? I can even remember what they taste like. Maybe a writing campaign needs to be mounted requesting General Mills to produce them once again.
