I had to cook this crap when I was in highschool...half frozen raw chicken bones would stab my hands, i had to dip it in this horrible smelling yellow goo so the breading mixture which looked like someone dropped a bag of flour on the floor, swept it up, and used it anyway..ok great, now I dont feel so good.

this was the worst chicken shaped poison ever, I remember my parents ordering a huge order and we had to feed a lot of people and every body took a bit or two and realized the chicken was old and probably was made three days ago, my parents made me take it back in the store I will never forgive my mom for that

I remember being on vacation and going to a Hardees in SC. I ate a fried chicken sandwich, and realized there was green and purple goo in the inside of the chicken. I never ate there again. My mom also found a small bone in her sandwich, and it was the most disgusting sticky-floored resturant we had ever been to. We never went back. Not saying all Hardee's locations are like this, but the memory scared us away forever.

Hardee's had the world by the tail back in the '80s. While they didn't invent the breakfast biscuit, they pretty much perfected it. Then they went into the chicken business, and when you're going up against The Colonel you'd better bring your A game. They didn't, and they never recovered.

When Hardees first introduced their chicken, I had went in to get a burger and they gave me a free box to try.I remember the stuff as being fresh and tasty and wonderful. Our local Hardees closed not too long after, though.

I think Hardee's introduced their fried chicken in the early 90's not the 80's.

I was cooking them in 85. They changed recipe early 90's. Wasn't as good in my opinion.
