These were awesome! Soda only seemed to make it worse. You have to drink milk with these things to soothe the tongue.

My mom and I loved these. They are still around our area in the TOM'S and ANDY CAPP's brand. I personally prefer the Andy Capp's Hot Fries. Like VI said, you can usually find them at the convenience stores.

Andy Capp's hot fries... I tried them once about 10 years ago, and they gave me the worst indigestion I've had in my life. They tasted good, but left a long-lasting burn in my mouth.

Hi yall, I consider myself to be a true chips connoisseur.I remember the chips from the 1980s, and a couple, including Andy Capps hot fries/cheddar fries were so much better to the point where they were addictive. They have changed the recipe during the years. The seasoning is still good, but the fries are airy, somewhat hallow and bubbly in the inside and you tend to crunch down on a very small hard piece sometimes while chewing. This was not the case before they changed. They were pretty much evenly distributed in the inside of the fry making it more full with a nice consistent crunch, and omg, sometimes you could catch a bag with so much seasoning that they almost felt wet and were super hot. I would go back to wipe off the shelf...lol. I can no longer enjoy them and don't buy because I cannot forget how the old ones used to taste. I would love to see Andy Capps return to the 80s version. Anyone remember what I am talking about?
