This was the best soft drink ever! I craved it terribly bad during my pregnancy! I wish I could have one today!

It was a great drink Ive been contacting wrigleys to bring it back out no joy yet lets start a petition if possible get it back once again.

I remmeber in 1988, my parents and I traveled to the Detroit area from Maryland, and the Meijers carried it. I craved it every time I went to Michigan. I later discovered it in Kenosha WI visiting other relatives. However, we never had it back here in Maryland, which was a sad thing.

I have set up a petition online now to try and get this brought back had a respone from Wrigleys saying that it was not them that manufactured it but J N Nichols the makers of Vimto so Ive rang them and emailed them the details hoping to move this further. i actually LOVED this stuff as a kid in the early to mid 90's!!! in fact, whenever i'm reminiscing with my friends about childhood food & candy..i always mention hubba bubba! if i drank it now, i would probably be disgusted and ruin my memory of it!!

I had to google hubba bubba soda because my husband couldnt remember it and my son just couldnt believe it.I LOVED that soda, but hadnt thought about for years untill I was pregnant last year. Do they sell it anywhere anymore? What was that petition address?

This was my favorite soda growing up.I remember my father always buying it as a treat for us kids.I wish they still made it, it was delicious and I think it would be a big hit now days.

Also what happened to lilt's mango and mandarin drink? I wish they would bring these back and also stop just selling drinks in bloody plastic bottles!

i got this stuff one day at this place called Quik-Chek by my house thinking it was going to be awesome. it was a 16 ounce bottle and WARM. i opened it outside next to my gnarly BMX bike and took a whopping chug and seriously almost BARFED. so gnarly. i threw the rest in the garbage and scorned it ever time i seen it in the store after that. All you pregnant women who crave this stuff are easily psychotic during pregnancy to want this vile potion of Hell's Creation.

I FOUND AN UNOPENED CAN OF HUBBA BUBBA SODA ON EBAY AND BOUGHT IT FOR $20!! ON ARIVAL THE CAN WAS IN SUPRISINGLY GOOD CONDITION JUST A FEW SMALL DENTS FROM 10-15 YEARS KNOCKING ABOUT. I PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE AND LET IT CHILL, OPENED IT AND DRANK IT WITH A FRIEND WHO DIDNT BELIEVE I HAD IT(COULDNT DIE FROM POISENING ON MY OWN!) IT WAS STILL FIZZY AND TASTED JUST AS I REMEMBER.ALWAYS LOOK ON EBAY BUT NEVER SEEN ANOTHER, NICE FLASHBACK THOUGH!!

I remember walking home from school and stopping off at the store daily to get a can. 1983. it was actually made from bubblegum snow cone flavoring.

Hubba Bubba was the absolute most amazing pop I've ever tasted in my life. Periodically I have Hubba Bubba thoughts. And more so since I'm pregnant and craving. Come to think of it the same fascination occured with my 1st pregnancy. Anywhoo, I came across some Hubba Bubba chewing gum which sent me into a frenzy. I searched high and low in the city of Atlanta to find my sweet concoction but ended my search with nothing. Hi fans, yes I am the inventor. Thanks for all of your wonderful comments. I have written a movie story on how I invented the soda and sold the idea to Canfields and Wrigleys. Would you want to see the movie if it gets made? If you all are REALLY SERIOUS, I can do it again. Did you know it actually had less sugar than the top 5. Did you know I approached Bazooka first. Thank you pan78! I signed the petition. I remember getting this stuff at the candy store next to my favourite pizza joint. Always wished they offered it in blueberry or at least grape...but blueberru Hubba Bubba gum was the best imo.

I got to test market this stuff when I was in the Navy in Cali. Sorry, but I thought it was quite aweful.

I signed the petition to bring Hubba Bubba back, but Jones Soda actually makes a bubble gum soda that tastes almost exactly like the old Hubba Bubba. Yeah, I know, not as nostalgic, but if you really like the taste, it's there.

the drink started of as a treat every now and again but i suddenly realised it had become more of obsession and i NEEDED at least a can every half hour. eventually it got to a point where my wife of 16 years left me and my house was reposesed due to buying in bulk. my life turned around since wrigleys stopped producing the drink and i have now got my life back on track althoug i crave a can now from time to time

If you bring this soda back, at least be sure to include a roll of toilet paper with it.

Hubba Bubba Soda was produced in the UK by SilverSpring in Kent- http://www.silverspring.co.uk/ The factory is quite near where I went to school and they used to sell excess stock out the back door dirt cheap. We use to buy it up and take it back to school where we'd re-sell it and double our money.

I was a sales rep. for 7up Bottling in Santa Clara Ca. when Hubba Bubba first came out. I liked the drink & had very good distribution on my route. Distribution is the whole key. Hubba Bubba as I remember was not in any of the major supermarkets. That would have made a difference. Sales depended solely on the up & down the street accounts & that depends on the hard work of the sales reps which depends on how good the distributor is. It's too bad, because I also believe given the right breaks Hubba Bubba could still be around..

I remember the only place that sold it around me in NJ was a little place in the mall. Sadly, that mall isn't even a mall anymore and just like that Hubba Bubba Soda and the mall were both history. It did make me happy to see a pic of the can though.... I wish they would bring it back!

In @ 1989? a guy at work brogut in a six pack, and we all tried it. I was so suprised that it realy tasted like Hubba Bubba bubble gum. I still have 2 unopened cans. I wonder how much they are worth.

Oh, the memories. I remember my mom would treat me to a can of Hubba Bubba soda and a pack of garbage pail kids when ever I was good boy. why can't they just bring it back like every thing else from the 80's seems to be coming back.

i thought the concept was very cool esp since i was just a little girl when it came out but when my dad bought me and my Brother each a can when we went to our cabin and we finally got to opening and taking sips i thought it was gross. if i drink soda nowadays its Diet pepsi lol nothing beats a cola drink in my opinion:)

I used to love that drink, they also did another one in a blue can, same graphics. I loved those cans. I wish I'd kept a couple, be worth a fair bit on ebay right now! They ought to bring it back out, don't know why they ever stopped it. Imagine it in lemon flavour in a bright yellow can. Lovely!

I remember this one! They used to sell it in our local gas station (ESSO) in Stavanger in the early 90s. So every time I had some money as a kid, I got on my bike to get it. It was very good - more fruity and fresh than the bubble gum itself, but as I recall; the taste was very similar to the original flavour as well.

All I can remember is liking the stuff.

My memories of this was the automatic desire to chew as you gulped it down and also a girl in England had a can in the engine of her beetle which was the same colour as the can!!!

I remember picking up Hubba Bubba Soda and a bag of Fritos BBQ chips after school at the sub store after school in San Francisco! It was the BEST and I wish they would bring it back:)
