Description
Sort of like Fritos but bigger and without all the extra salt. Had temporary tattoos inside that were of Indian things like arrowheads and bow and arrows. The tattoos were not food coloring based like the Cracker Jack ones, but slide off in one piece after being wet with a cloth. Couldn't get them off except with baby oil! The chips were great. Much better than Fritos. I used to eat these by the bag with a Tiger Red cream soda to wash them down.

These were my favorite for lunch when I was in High School. I liked the HOT ones they were soo good. I wish I could find them. They were a thicker chip and the seasoning was so hot it was almost sweet. Give me a bag of those a lemon drink half frozen and Iam set !!

I remember the HOT Indian Corn Chips. They were good and had such a distinct flavor that I can't think of anything to compare it to.

I remember Indian Corn Chips & that distinctive yellow bag! These were wider than standard corn chips, & had a better flavor than Fritos! In fact, no other corn chip came close to Indian Corn Chips. I don't remember the Hot or BBQ Indian Corn Chips, though. I wish these one-of-a-kind corn chips were still around!

I tried some Mike-Sell's Barbecue Corn Chips that reminded me of the Indian Corn Chips in flavor although the size and the texture of the chip was more like Fritos. It was the closest thig I've had in year.

I too remember the silver bag!! i'm from northern california and our local deli (Togo's) carried them for a couple of years. Couldnt get any info as to where the chips went. I have found a chip at my local dollar tree that carries under the banner of Harvest Snacks. This chip is kinda frito-ish/Indian corn-ish weighing more on the Indian side. Not bad but I sure miss the "ICC's"

I tried the hot Sundance brand corn chips a couple of years ago, and the taste reminded me of the old Indian corn chips. Could it be?

Indian Corn Chips were the best, way better than Fritos, and it was sad when they disappeared. I often think about them and wish they were still around...

I live in Northern California and used to get these all the time....they were the best! Everybody, please contact Snak King and request that they reintroduce the "Native American" corn chips. They were superb, and fit today's healthy food trends, because they were made from coarsely cracked corn--whole grain! Links are not allowed, but just search for "Snak King" and go to their contact page.

Are you interested in buying coin operated horses or spring rocking horses??? They are sold on Ebay. Most spring horses are made by Blazon, Wonder, Flexible Flyer, and Radio Flyer. Feel free to buy as many as you like. Good luck!!! :) Ebay account required.

I grew up in central KY and my favorite corn chips were Indian Corn Chips. I haven't seen them I was in high school probably and that was in the 70’s. They were the best and they were a favorite after school snack. We always had them instead of Frito's but they just disappeared. I wonder what happened to them. Wish I could find them.

Central Nebraska, they were my favorite as well. Yes, a yellow bag, more the size of the Fritos larger corn chips. I used to buy a Frostie Root Beer to have with them...... We all understand that they are not PC but should still exist under another name.

I loved Indian Corn Chips. Thicker, tastier and over-all much better than Fritos. Grew up in suburban St. Louis. We always had a bag on hand. Wish they were still around. Not even sure what company produced them.

I think they are the Old Vienna (St. Louis) Corn Chips now. They taste as good to me and come in hot and BBQ. I used to love the originals too. They probably got rid of Indian to not be offensive they did it before political correctness became a thing.
Bunny - June 09, 2021 - Report this comment
I used to love these chips as a little girl and teen. My mother bought no other brand because they couldn't compare to Old Vienna. Nothing ever came close until a couple of years ago I found corn chips made by Trader Joe's that were exactly the same taste and texture as the ones I remember.

"Great Value" corn chips are the closest to them that I have found.
