These came back in 2004 under the Popsicle brand by Unilever. Check out their website to find which stores have them. http://www.icecreamusa.com/products/search.cfm?b=4 I'm picking some up tomorrow!

I loved those so much I would get boxes of them as presents for my birthday! Thanks to Ted's link, I've discovered they sell them in my area! Gonna get some tomorrow!

I service Pick 'n Save stores in the Milw. area and they sell Kemp's brand pudding pops, for those of you who want something similar.

They are not the same as they used to be. Old ones were just like pudding, creamy, smooth, I would eat the whole box if given the chance. Now they are more artificial tasting, as is most prepackaged goodies. Why do they mess with perfection? Sigh.......

My friends and I loved these-- the pudding and the gelatin ones. We would go through so many, after a sleep over, my Mother would be amazed. I wish they still made them just like back then .
Stewie - September 13, 2008 - Report this comment
Gotta love variety packs! All three of these were good to have after a big dinner.
Michelle79 - October 17, 2008 - Report this comment
These taste so good, but now they are so much smaller than they used to be in the 80's.
Stewie - October 24, 2008 - Report this comment
I remember when I was a kid my whole family would have these and my Mom would sometimes complain they were too short. And rightfully so. They should always be as long as they're presented on the box. But sometimes they were long enough and other times, not so much.

They were delicious. I used to buy two when I was on my way home from summer camp. There was store that sold them individually (technically, they werent supposed to,but who cared then?)

The new vanilla ones are nasty. I never had the old ones, so I'm not sure if they've changed. I do remember the banana ones though and you can't find those anymore.
ghan75 - November 24, 2008 - Report this comment
The new ones aren't the same. Bill Cosby would spit the new ones out.
Stewie - November 27, 2008 - Report this comment
LOL at ghan!

Man, we LOVED these and the fruit ones also!!!
court - January 17, 2009 - Report this comment
i loved these... they had a layer of ice on them that you had to lick/bite off to get to the pudding. vanilla was my favorite.
FoxyFishy - February 04, 2009 - Report this comment
I too was super excited to see these came back on the market, but then when I opened them up and tasted them...they sucked! I don't know if they changed the recipe or just that I'm not 10 anymore, but they're definitely not nearly as good as they used to be!

The Best Ice Cream Evah. My grandfather used to always have the chocolate ones in his freezer. He kept them in there just for me and my brother. :)

I am thrilled to see that others feel as strongly as I do about Jello Pudding Pops. I haven't tried the new ones yet but am going to search for them. I'd forgotten about the Banana ones and am now extremely depressed to hear that they aren't available.
T - November 10, 2009 - Report this comment
The new ones are definitely NOT the same. They are shaped like a popsicle now, rather than the flatter, wider type. They don't taste nearly as creamy. I was so disappointed. :( Anyone remember the chocolate/caramel swirl? I liked all of the flavors, but my favorite was the chocolate/caramel swirl!
Big B - December 05, 2009 - Report this comment
These new jello pops are nasty. It is an insult to Bill Cosby and the old school Jello Pops that I used to devour as a kid. Oh well.....I'll always have the 80's.
D Saurer - January 25, 2010 - Report this comment
The Old Pudding Pops were so darn good. I've tried the new ones and I am just disgusted with it. Why mess with a tradition???
Jen - January 26, 2010 - Report this comment
So agree!! I loved the little icicle chips around the bottom of them, definately not the same :(
80sBaby - April 10, 2010 - Report this comment
Vanilla Pudding Pops (and Gelatin Pops) were among my favorite cold treats as a kid, both of which were discontinued, unfortunately. I was pleased when I found out that Pudding Pops had made a comeback, but sadly, the new ones just weren't as good. They don't make 'em like they used to. :(

ooooh pudding pops! The perfect summer snack! Cold, creamy and delicious. not to meantion bill cosby's comercials for them. hilarious!
dina - June 10, 2010 - Report this comment
I agree, they were the best. My kids loved them and my daughter who is 28 asked me to pick some up the other day. I had to burst her bubble that they didn't make them any more. Maybe Jello would bring them back if everyone bugged them enough.

Popsicle does make the Jell-o pudding pops but they are definitely not the same. They are TERRIBLE. The taste and texture are both off. The vanilla are by far the worst. However, last year a store by me had Hood's brand pudding pops and they were the same shape and flavor as the original Jell-o ones from when we were kids. They even had the little frozen dimple things on the bottom! I was so excited but now I can't find them anywhere. I did hear that Kemp's bought the Hood's brand and I know Kemp's makes pudding pops, so I'm hoping that they're the same thing. I wrote to Kemp's consumer relations to find out actually lol. I'm anxiously awaiting their reply.

inthe80s.com needs a sharper set of website admins - it's annoying when photos of current packaging are used in place of the originals for some of this stuff .. particularly when the current product does not in anyway resemble the original. I.e. Popsicle brand Pudding Pops. :(

I heard the old ones were made by Kraft. We should all reach out to Kraft to get these back on the shelf!!!

Bring back jello pudding pops they were my favorite desert growing up. Loved the vanilla and banana flavors
JRL - December 08, 2011 - Report this comment
Sadly, the picture is of the new ones. The old ones were flat bars, the new ones are popsicle-shaped. he new vanilla ones don't taste as bad to me as others here have stated, but the chocolate-vanilla swirl ones are a bad joke. The originals had a nearly equal amount of chocolate and vanilla, whereas the new ones are chocolate with a thin coating of vanilla. Ridiculous. Why is big business always messing with the original?

I wish I can get these in stores today

My personal favorite was vanilla. Trying to bite into these things always made my lower teeth hurt. (BTW, it's Jell-O, not Jello).
Sammi - August 26, 2016 - Report this comment
Good one, Niki, from July 23, 2015! You most definitely don't want Bill's pudding pop anywhere near you; especially during bed time! How the mighty have fallen. And, these thing were garbage to begin with. Had a professor in college that asked why such a man as Bill Cosby, with all his influence in the black community would sell sugar to his own people. Guess we know why ... he has no soul. What a piece a dung. Oh yeah, good one as well SNARO and Steve. What a great one by you Steveo!
