Description
Around the "Crocodile Dundee" time, when everything Australian was cool. Basically a syrupy pop with flavors like mango-passion fruit and stuff. Once in a while you can still come across it. I showed it to an Australian and he couldn't believe how cheesy it is.

Hey drongo! Get your facts right! Koala Springs never produced a cola! It was not 'pop' but mineral water flavored with fruit juice. Cheesy? It won an Australian Export Award in 1989 for being a highly successful brand and was a pioneer in the new age category in the US and Canada. Many beverage products copied Koala Springs but none were able to equal it.

This stuff was great! You're right, it wasn't syrupy pop, it was carbonated water with real fruit juice added. My favorites were lemon-lime and mango. Wish they were still around :(

I drank this stuff religiously, favorite was Orange Mango, but also liked passion fruit, Lemon lime, and Black currant. It came in cans and bottles, more expensive than regular soda, a real thirst quencher. Had a Koala Bear on the label, was big in the SoCal surfing areas.
