They're still around and marketing other kinds of chips like Tortilla chips now. Mesquite Barbecue is the best.

They still sell these in Southern Indiana. They have lots of flavors now, like Hawaiian Sweet Onion, and Salt and Vinegar, and Sour cream & Onion. They're my favorite, but I haven't seen them here in Southern CA.

Jay's (the Chicago-based company that made Krunchers originally) filed for Chap. 11 a few years back (2007 maybe?). Snyder's of Hanover (the pretzel people) make them now, in Pennsylvania. They are still good, but I think the recipe for the Jalapeno flavored ones must have changed... they were better (and hotter) under the original Jay's ownership.

Were introduced locally (Chicago) around 1986 and then nationally a couple of years later. Featured wacky flavors like jalapeno and alfredo

Snyder's of Hanover makes these now! They have Mesquite and Jalapeno just like the old days, and now some other flavors.
