Yes, BRIGHT GREEN (it was the '80s after all!) lime Kool-Aid and Jell-O were introduced in the late '80s, but lime Kool-aid quickly disappeared, and these days only lime Jell-O can be found.

We have Lemon-Lime KoolAid here in Southern DE and it tastes just like the reg. lime koolaid that we used to drink as kids. Don't let the "lemon" part fool ya.

You should think yourselves lucky that you have any flavours of kool aid. We have none in Wales. We have to buy it from specialist websites for approximately $1 a quart of powder (that's if you buy tubs rather than sachets). :(

Lemon lime kool aid has been around alot longer than just since the 80s, it was one of the original flavors. It can be hard to find in some areas, but it can always be found on amazon.

I'm confused, was there ever a lime Koolaid by itself, or was it always lemon-lime? I can find info on lemon-lime Koolaid but nothing really on just plain lime.

I have had lime KoolAid while I was Viet Nam in 1968. So the time line on my favorite KoolAid dates back to the 60s. It was just in the last 3 months that I cant find it. FYI.

I drank lime (NOT LEMON LIME) koolaid by the gallon and ate lime jello by the pound as a kid (no not introduced in the 80's, this is a quarter century before that!, and can't find any in central New England at all!

Found an unused pack of Pre-Sweetened Lime Kool Aid from 1968. Bugs Bunny, on a surfboard, was printed on it. Also found an unused cherry, with Bugs on a unicycle. Bugs Bunny appeared on Kool aid packs, and TV commercials, from 1964 to 1970. Licensing agreement between Warner Bros. and General Foods expired, not renewed.

You all know there was a lime Kool aid and then a lemon-lime Kool aid. They are different. Lime is the missing flavor.

LIME, not lemon-lime, Kool-Aid is by far the best flavor they have made!!! Nothing even comes close to it. With all the people on here stating the same, I wonder why they ever discontinued it . . . especially with some of the flavors that they have tried recently! Hey, Kraft Heinz, if you're listening, out there observing us pathetic peons, have a little heart, and bring back LIME flavor, please! We beg of you!!! Further, I am under the assumption that every commenter posting on here claiming that they can still purchase it (the LIME flavored Kool-Aid), is ignorant to some degree of what flavor we are discussing here. They must hear "LIME", and assume we surely meant "LEMON-LIME", although that is not what we said, such a pity that so many people do not know how to listen. I am guessing that these poor souls have never indulged in the ambrosial delectableness of LIME flavored Kool-Aid, and being completely ignorant that it even existed, they just assume we must mean "Lemon-Lime" when we say "Lime". Therefore, none of them are able to acquire the LIME flavor of which we yearn for, and instead they are referring to Lemon-Lime . . . or is there but one of you out there who spoke the truth, and not out of ignorance when they stated they could acquire the LIME flavor??? Or could they be referring to another product highly similar to LIME, but likely tastes much different. Because I did see I could order a product called Kool-Aid Screamin' Lime Powdered Drink Mix which would run me $129.95 for 18 x 392g(13.8 oz) pouches shipped from Canada. Now, because this product is called Screamin' Lime, and not just plain Lime, and because it is sold in the Canadian market, leads me to believe this isn't the same stuff as the old school Lime. Has anybody tried this flavor, and can confirm if it is indeed the same flavor, or not even??? I'm not going to spend that kind of money on it. Granted, the sugar is already included in the mix powder, but nevertheless, for $130, you only get the equivalence of just under 43 single serve packets (makes 2 quarts). With single packets of Kool-Aid costing around 35¢ each, those 43 equivalent servings would cost us about $15.05, and then the sugar is already in those Canadian packets one can buy. Sugar being about 89¢ per pound makes one cup of sugar cost 44.5¢, then we have 43 servings of 2 quarts which each need 1 cup of sugar, means we need 43 cups of sugar. So, 43 cups of sugar multiplied by 44.5¢ per cup will give us the cost of sugar being about $19.44. So if we bought the Kool-Aid packets separately without sugar, and then purchased the sugar separately as well, that would cost us approximately $34.49. That is still $95.46 short of what they want to charge for those 18 packets of Kool-Aid shipped from Canada, and I know shipping charges may not be cheap, but 18 packets of Kool-Aid should not run anybody $95 to ship from Canada to U.S.!!!! I WANT MY LIME!!!!!
