I just got some Little Debbie Petites that are Spice Cakes. Not sure if they are the same, since I never had the old ones, but look for them!

These were the best. The Petites are NOT the same, they have no creme filling and are kinda crappy. Edy's pumpkin ice cream tastes like these. Best bet is to buy a box of spice cake mix and some cream cheese frosting (personal preference) and have at it.

I just found the Chocodiles and it made me think of my favorites ever Little Debbie Spice Cakes.

I have been trying to find these for years. I had hoped that it was just a 'regional' thing and that, one day, I would just come across a box and be overcome with delight for as long as they lasted. Besides being told that I had breast cancer in 2004, learning these have been discontinued is the saddest news I have ever heard. If I had known that was coming, I would have frozen a pallet of them!

I really wish they would bring back the little Debbie spice cakes from the 80's. I would like to share this with our children. Even now it sparks up nostalgia. I remember going to my grandparents and seeing the cakes on the kitchen table or in the bread box (do they even make bread boxes anymore) anyhow sometime wishes do come true.

I think they would sell if they had a different name. The icing was a blah color and the word 'spice' just isn't appealing to children. The Spice Cakes were one of my favorites as well. I read above about them not selling well and therefore being discontinued. I love the little Debbie spice cakes and I hope that someday soon that production of this snack returns. The last time I had them was in 2008 and I would get them for my beloved mother who was just as fond of them too. Even though she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and it was so difficult for her to digest anything she still wanted the little Debbie Spice Cake. The Little Debbie SPICE CAKES were and still are my all time favorite snack food! I am now 31 and have been patiently awaiting the day I see these back on the shelves of the supermarket. I was a young child when I enjoyed these and the taste was absolutely amazing. If Little Debbie would bring these back today, I honestly feel today's youth would enjoy these to great extent, much like I did as a child.
