I remember finding those in Big Lots. They were cool and I loved the cans, but they didn't taste very good.

These things were amazing!!!! I could only find them in this one store in New Port Beach as a kid. The yoshi flavor kinda tasted like sparking cider. SOOOOO good!!! I wish they'd bring em back:(

I saved the 4-pak of each flavor. I even have a Mario Punch that is unopened. If someone drank it, it would probably be considered carbonated death in a can. They kinda tasted that way brand new. They weren't that bad...but the coolness factor of the cans made it all better. I do remember those suckers. They made Ninja Turtle ones too, that I horded. They had that weird pink wax on the bottom. ...I have a rubber mold of Mario...and a cheap plastic lime green mario giving the peace sign...I think he was full of tiny gum balls. Nintendo put out some cool stuff.

LOL, they had Mario everything for awhile in the late 80s. I remember fruit snacks and ice cream sandwiches, but I don't remember soda. If Shasta made them, that was probably why I didn't see them back then, because (I think) they're a West Coast only brand and I lived on the East Coast then.

tev from April 27, 2012 might be right. I did not go to California till 1988 with a girlfriend and might have seen them. BUT NOT ON NOT IN NEW JERSEY. Gort asks a good question, Why was Princess Peach Cherry? And thank you for the picture. Love when there are pictures.
