Description
I believe these were made by Pillsbury. They supposedly had 1/2 cup of milk's worth of calcium per chocolate-covered wafer bar. Since I hated the taste of milk, this is how I got my calcium in my teenage days back in the 80s.

I absolutely loved Milk Break Bars! When I was in 4th grade, if you didn't bring one of these in your lunch box...you weren't cool:)

I am so glad to know other people remember these things! I specifically googled them to see if they were still being made somewhere; that's how I found this page. I still crave them to this day! They were sooooo good. And I hate milk!

I loved Milk Break bars, too. I hiked the Appalachian Trail in 1986, and I made a special note in my diary on May 10 that I ate one for breakfast at the Cherry Gap Shelter near the Tennessee and North Carolina border. I miss them.

I loved those tasty Milk Break Bars, and I miss them, too. I only wish they would bring them back again. Why did they get discontinued? I can't believe they weren't a big seller. I remember another flavor they came in -- Mint Chocolate Chip. I wanted to try them, but they discontinued them before I had a chance.

My 2 favorite granola bars growing up were mint flavored Milk Break bars and peanut butter Boppers. They're both gone now and I miss them dearly! Please, someone hear my pleas for a good granola bar again.

I was in elementary school at the time. I loved these.... especially the chocolate mint flavor. I used to save my allowance to but a box. Wish they still made them.

OMG those were the best-tasting chocolate bars EVER!! They had a Nutella-like nutty/chocolately creme inside and the wafers were so delicious and perfectly crunchy!! When I was a kid in the mid-1980's, they were like nothing else around!!! I miss Milk Break Bars!!!

OMG! I am so with you Michael! I loved Milk Break Bars and I don't like milk either! The peanut butter were my favorite. I'm so glad that other people remember them too. I so wish they would bring them back. There are aisle after aisle of protein bars, meal replacement bars, power bars, etc. I've tried them all and none compare to Milk Break Bars.
