Description
White "chocolate"(these days you can't call something chocolate unless it has a certain percentage of cocoa solids which this had only cocoa butter) with almonds. These and Cherry Coke fueled my ADHD in the mid/late 80's..too bad Cherry Coke doesn't have the same taste and they no longer make these bars.

i used to have to fight my mom in the grocery store 4 these every week she always said white chocolate was nastey these were the bestttttttt.
Nestle makes the very best... N-E-S-T-L-E-S....creamy white...Alpine White......... Ahhh Good memories...tasted like lard though...
Alpine was my number 1 choice when I was younger. It still is! Hershey's created something similar but with whole almonds and it wasn't as good. When I came to America, I've been looking for Alpine...I miss it so much!
"Tasted like buttery sweetness" is the proper word for this candy. I still have happy dreams where I find one and eat it. I wish they still made them, I begin my weekly habit of eating one again.
Definitely one of the greatest commercials of the 80's!! My grandmother used to buy them for me when she went shopping. I really liked them, and I loved the commercial, the advertising was just fantastic. You can see it on youtube.
i'm only 22 and i can still remember eating these things. i had to beg my mom to buy them for me. i would pay almost anything to have one. they were and still are my favorite candy bar!
My mom LOVED these and got me liking them also! Wish I could eat one now.. I love the crushed almonds and how thin the bar was!
I've been craving an Alpine White for the last...I don't even know how many years! The closest I've come to white chocolate that tasted so good was a few weeks ago. I found a candy bar in Germany that was pretty good, but no Alpine White.
I remember going to the store as a young girl and spending my money on Alpine Bars. They were the best!! Nestle needs to make them again!
I have been in a serious hunt for this damn candy bar, to then find out it isn't being made anymore. I could just cry I tell you. I have the fondest memories of alpine white, if I try hard enough I could still taste it. I pray it'll come back one day.
I love this candy bar I lived across the street from a store called Dmars in chicago and would always ask my mother for money to buy Alpine white I really miss it, it is still my favorit candy bar and will always be

I have been searching for the Alpine for years, only to find out it does not exist anymore! I have contacted Nestle several times asking them to consider making them again! Maybe if we keep contacting the company they will realize how much the Alpine is missed!

White crisp chocolate from Aldi Store is very similar to this Nestle Alpine White
Now I know why I've been eating white chocolate for years and can never finish a bar, always unsatisfied...it's not an ALPINE WHITE!

LOL.... I feel the same way about this candy bar. My story relates to you all in a sense I have been searching for this candy for years and across the states everywhere I went and finally came to know a couple of years ago that they do not make them anymore.... i want them back!!! its a childhood memory of mine as well... we should make nestle bring it back!!!

If you take Nestle White Chocolate Chips and melt them...then take smoked almonds and chop them up in a food processor....mix them together, spread out on foil or waxed paper then put in the refrigderator to set....break up into pieces and it tastes just like the old Alpine lace bars! :)
I don't like sweets too much but this was the only chocolate I would eat. That beloved alpine white chocolate. I still remember the taste as of this day and that darn nestle wont make anymore!

Alpine white was my favorite candy as a child, i remember being so young that i couldnt even say the name right, i called them "all plain white", god i miss that candy.
Alpine White brings back fond childhood memories...yumyum...I work for nestle , i suggest you guys email or contact them via customer services..just to show that there is demand for the product. The company is currently re-investing in new lines of chocolates, maybe they could make one with a similar taste profile!
yeah... nestle should bring alpine white back in the market. I'm so glad that many share the same sentiments with this best white chocolate. nothing else compares to alpine white. I also miss Barnone chocolate. They brought it back in early 2000 and it disappeared. PLEASE BRING BACK THESE WONDERFUL CHOCOLATES IN THE STORE SHELVES!!!!

so glad to know that im not the only person who's missing and been searching for ALPINE WHITE CHOCOLATE bars... i remember my close friend in 6th grade gave me a big bar of alpine white for my birthday! so sweet! i dont remember sharing the chocolate with my brother ;P
