Description
Kind of hard to describe....the best way, I guess, is a waffle-type cheese-flavored chip in circles about as big as half dollars with a very cheesy center...........strange but good.

Sharp, savory, cheddar flavor. I can't believe they aren't the top-selling snack of all time. I still find them now and then. Yummy. Also very high in calories :-(
I remember them as Cheese Waffies.
I loved them, but thought they were long out of production . . . until just recently. I haven't seen them in the local stores in my area (Philadelphia PA) for quite some time, but I guess I just wasn't looking hard enough.
Now that I know what they're called, I can't wait to get my hands on some. Ahhhh . . . a taste from my youth.
I found them in barbados and they brought back childhood memories They are wonderful

I'm sorry to tell you but cheese waffies or waffles have been around since the 60's and I'm kinds sure that Old London Wise and Borden were one company back in the 60's Wise Cheese doodles used the Old London name also-keep looking they can be hard to find but there out there Under Wise now.
I miss the " Old London Cheese Doodles from back in the 70's. They were without the best flavored, cheesy tasting cheese doodle on the market. I have NOT had one since then that equalled it in flavor. I would love it if they still made and sold them.. My grandkids would then know what a Real Cheese Doodle can taste like...
Didn't they used to come in a cardboard tube???
The original ones came in a tube. I remember my dad bringing them home in the 50's.
