Description
I'm pretty sure that's what this stuff was called. I don't know if it was introduced in the 80's or earlier, but I do know that it disappeared after the 80's. It was cannisters of chocolate or vanilla milk mix. It was more crystal form than powder, and I remember if you put it on ice cream when it started melting it would turn colors.

PDQ was made by Ovaltine and was discontinued in the mid-90's. I loved that stuff!

My parents bought choc flavored PDG. My sister and I would eat a spoonful of the stuff when no one was looking! We liked to sprinkle it over icecream.

I just had a craven! The drink mix came to my mind, so many years later! Now I figured out my depression, lol. I miss my egg nog drink! I used to go out of the way to get this stuff, drink it eat it n crave for more! It was like eating cake mix before being baked, u could not wait its soooo---good!!! Lets protest to bring it back!It was also alot less calories then drinking pure eggnog!

Why oh Why did it get removed from the market. It was so convenient and tasty. Send the recipe out so we can make it ourselves.

I remember PDQ being out in the late 70s. I remember having three flavors in the cupboard at once: strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla! I wish Ovaltine could at least introduce their own version of vanilla and strawberry -- it would at least be a consolation!

PDQ was imported to Japan, and I enjoyed in my childhood. I remember banana flavored one also, but here nobody knows...

None of my friends know what I'm talking about when I mention PDQ, but how I loved that stuff!! My personal favorite was the chocolate. As others have mentioned, it was absolutely awesome on ice cream or even straight on a spoon. And of course, it made the best chocolate milk. I hate that my own kids will never know the joys of the stuff!
