These remind me of being a kid at my Grandma's. They were called Goldenberg's Peanut Chews. You can still get them, but they are not made by Goldenberg's and they are not covered in Dark Chocolate. Not the same.

In the beginning of 1970 from January to mid March, peanuts were 39 cents a pound in the north east and 22 cents in Georgia. From mid March up till the beginning of June they went down to 34 cents a pound in the north east and almost down to 19 cents in Georgia. But in California they stayed at around 25 cents the entire year.

Apparently Goldenberg Peanut Chews are back. They originally came out in 1917!

I should mention that Goldenberg Peanut Chews are now made by the Just Born company
