Description
Tortilla chips loaded with jalapeno flavored seasoning. I don't know if they were their own company or if FritoLay owned them but they were my favorite - hot & spicy!

Indeed, these were actually spicy chips, unlike the over-marketed, under-spiced Doritos today. Plus Pepitos weren't encased in fake cheese and didn't turn your fingers orange. Nice crisp chip with plenty of hotness.

Yes! They were in a class of their own. They were my favorite. I sometimes feel like my memory of them is a hallucination because most people have never heard of them. The recent Habanero Doritos come close in spiciness, but do have the unidentified orange pseudo-queso coating.

Still my fave chip, ever! The long since discontinued (I think) taco-flavored Doritos were close. Think they were Frito-Lay.

We miss them- we remember the song from the commercial:" Oh-oh Pepitos, so crispy and hearty, Pepitos- To pep up your party, Pepitos- you can't beat those Pepitos!" WE MUST BRING THEM BACK

We used to drink Olde English Malt Liquor and eat Pepitos in my friend's basement. The perfect combination!

I just found these chips at my local Walgreen's. They are called "El Sabroso all natural Jalapenitos" jalapeno and cheese chips. The first thought that came to me when I ate the first one was "PEPITOS". Try them if you can find them. You wont be disappointed. I used to buy Pepitos everyday at the lunch counter in 8th grade for 25 cents a bag!

I LOVED Pepitos, and I remember that commercial jingle too! My lunch as a picky kid used to consist of a bag of Pepitos and a pepperoni sandwich. It's weird how you'll bite into chips now and think that they come close to the BEST CHIPS EVER. Please Frito Lay, BRING BACK OUR PEPITOS!!!
