Description
It was supposed to be the cola you drink in the morning. Being a Pepsi officianado, I never saw the point as the regular Pepsi works just fine for me.

I was around for the 80's but never heard of Pepsi A.M. in my life that's almost comical, that one isone I can see why is not still around.

Never heard of it. Was it only avail in certain test markets?? If it were a hit were they thinking of doing a spin off Pepsi PM.

It was test marketed i think in late 1988, maybe, but i saw it around early 1989, and it continuing to be sold for another year, i don't know if it was sold everywhere though.

I missed out on this one back in the 80's. I bought a few 6 packs over a month or 2 and my father drank them all. When I went back for more they were gone.

I am from iowa and my hometown of Cedar Falls was included in the test market. I drank Pepsi AM all the time. I thought it was a great drink. I thought it was many times better then Jolt. It should not have been discontinued.

my mom craved pepsi and cole slaw when she was pregnat with me and she said the am stuff made her sick as a dog

Jeff is right, it was out in 1989,There is no difference between it and regular Pepsi, except that it had a lot of extra caffeine added. I believe the marketing was aimed towards people that would rather have a soda in the morning, instead than coffee.
