Frito Lay is bringing back their Taco flavored Doritos and my first thought when I tasted them, was they are just like the Pizza Puffs I remember as a child. Watch for them when they come out in September or October. The texture is not the same as the Pizza Puff but the flavor is close.

I moved to Utah in 1985 and found Piza puffs, they were the cheapest chips/puffs and the best I don't feel alone anymore knowing there are others out there who feel the same. I wish they would make them again as well. The doritos are close, but not the same.

My grandmother owned a gas station and in the 60's and 70's it was great to go there and get a bag of pizza puffs and a (glass) bottle of coke, it was heaven! Too bad Clover Club is no longer around. I am glad to see others miss this treat too.

2006 wal-mart in idaho was stocked accidently by Pizza flavored cheese puffs by Cheetos vender. I bought 8 bags, then the vender came back to tell me that they were going to a gas station not wal-mart. so they pulled them all. I since never found them again but cheetos was the ones that came back out with them to try. whats happened ??? I need them. =)

My best freind and I would stop at Pauls Par 3 golf course everydat after school and have a coke (in small bottle) and a bag of Pizza Puffs. I would be willing to manufacture if anyone can find the ingrediants listed on a bag. I dont think the bag was green (as stated by someone else) all I recall is that they were puffed up and terrific seasonings. Great with as coke.

Yes, pizza puffs were in a green bag with a clear window in the front. I can close my eyes and remember the smell and the taste, I miss that! What I don't understand is, if they can bring back Mr. Pibb and the wax bottles full of liquid, why they can't bring back the beloved pizza puffs

Yes Clover Club in Kaysville,Utah made the pizza puffs and fantastic potatoe chips. The company was sold to Borden (Lays)But Don Julio Foods/Clover Club Foods In Utah claims to still be makeing the potatoe chips.

I thought I was the only one that would LOVE to have those Pizza Puffs again. However, I do not think they taste anything like the taco flavored Doritos even though I do have memories of those too and are glad they are back & are even in their traditional bag.

Pizza Puffs are BACK!!! Well almost...We picked up a bag of Salsa Con Queso flavored Goldfish Puffs at a WalMart. I tasted them and told my wife that I remember the flavor and the texture was very similar to some snack we ate all the time back in the 80's. This morning (a week later) I finally remembered that they were called pizza puffs. These are as close as we will see without bringing the original pizza puffs back!

Glen already mentioned them, but I second the recommendation of the Herr's Deep Dish Pizza cheese curls. Sadly Herr's isn't a brand that's carried in my area, but I came across them as a special purchase item at Winco and they taste just like Pizza Puffs.

I've found "similar tasting" snacks, but Pizza Puffs was a special, light, puffy snack that melted when we ate them. IVE FOUND IT!!!! I have discovered Pizza Puffs reincarnated!! I too have been longing for a taste of the past. I've tried several times, but they couldnt even come close, until NOW! Crazy as it sounds, I found them in Layton Utah (near the clover club plant) at get this... Big Lots!! They are made by Herr's out of Pa. They're called Herr's Deep Dish Pizza Puffs.. I've bought all they had locally. .. im now on high alert for the rest. Then.... I'll be calling Pa.!! Good luck! You'll die on your first bite!

The original Pizza Puffs were made by Clover Club starting in the early 70's. They were the most awesome snack ever. Nothing else ever came close. They went out of production when the company was sold in the late 80's, early 90's.

Well the trademark expired in 89'. There is no chance these are still in existence, our only hope is for a big gun like Frito to pick it up and start making it, however, there is so much competition in this category its highly unlikely. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for you all. Also, The original recipe is likely no longer known being they were first made in 1965 and have been out of production now for near 3 decades, in fact its also likely that some of the ingredients used are no longer approved for food use by the FDA, hence all the insane cravings still 30 years later, makes you think for sure.

They may have been a different company that tried to recreate them but i bought everyone in the rack. And they tasted like my childhood. So, I believe someone company is making them still just gotta research where to find them.

I missed Pizza Puffs so much that I decided to try and make my own. Recipe: 1 8oz bag of Cheetos Cheese Puffs 1/2 oz McCormick Tasty Savory tomato, basil & oregano seasoning mix. Several shakes of parmesan cheese. Add seasoning and cheese to Puffs in bag. Close and shake a few times. The taste is very close.

I remember in the 80’s that my grandpa in California wrote Clover Club asking them when they would bring them to California. They sent him a big box full for free. How I miss those pizza puffs! I can’t find anything that tastes any close to how good they were.
