Description
My best friend and I used to eat these bagS at a time. We can not remember who made them, however, we think it may be wise (with the owl). They were these half moon shaped puff chips, and they were pizza flavored. I believe the bag was green with a see through window. What I wouldn't do for another bag of thoes chips!!

Pizza Puffs, why do we crave them soooooo much and I don't think I've had one in twenty years.I have looked and looked on the net and I can not find out who made these. I'd probably try an old bag if I could find one.

Yep, these chips were sooo AWESOME!!! Many years later, I thought I'd give them another go when it turns out they don't make them anymore!! Went they a product of TOM'S? And yes, whoever makes these, PLEASE MAKE THEM AGAIN!!!! Long Live (sniff) Pizza Puffs

Frito Lay is bringing back their Taco flavored Doritos and my first thought when I tasted them, was they are just like the Pizza Puffs I remember as a child. Watch for them when they come out in September or October. The texture is not the same as the Pizza Puff but the flavor is close.

I grew up in CA but every summer went to Idaho to visit relatives. My two cousins and I always used to chow down on Pizza Puffs! I couldn't get them in CA so had to get my fill in Idaho. They disappeared from the shelves many years ago but I still have such great memories of Pizza puffs. Yum!

Yes, I remember getting them out of a Tom's snack machine if I can remember correctly. Half moon, puffy, and just plain good. It could have been Clover Club that put them out hmm............

I moved to Utah in 1985 and found Piza puffs, they were the cheapest chips/puffs and the best I don't feel alone anymore knowing there are others out there who feel the same. I wish they would make them again as well. The doritos are close, but not the same.
Eric - November 19, 2008 - Report this comment

My grandmother owned a gas station and in the 60's and 70's it was great to go there and get a bag of pizza puffs and a (glass) bottle of coke, it was heaven! Too bad Clover Club is no longer around. I am glad to see others miss this treat too.
david - December 10, 2008 - Report this comment
2006 wal-mart in idaho was stocked accidently by Pizza flavored cheese puffs by Cheetos vender. I bought 8 bags, then the vender came back to tell me that they were going to a gas station not wal-mart. so they pulled them all. I since never found them again but cheetos was the ones that came back out with them to try. whats happened ??? I need them. =)

My best freind and I would stop at Pauls Par 3 golf course everydat after school and have a coke (in small bottle) and a bag of Pizza Puffs. I would be willing to manufacture if anyone can find the ingrediants listed on a bag. I dont think the bag was green (as stated by someone else) all I recall is that they were puffed up and terrific seasonings. Great with as coke.

Yes, pizza puffs were in a green bag with a clear window in the front. I can close my eyes and remember the smell and the taste, I miss that! What I don't understand is, if they can bring back Mr. Pibb and the wax bottles full of liquid, why they can't bring back the beloved pizza puffs
Sheila - December 31, 2008 - Report this comment
Pizza Puffs were made by Clover Club & that company was sold by Borden in 1994 - never to exist again which stinks! I remember eating them at the roller rink every Saturday!
RezBoy - February 11, 2009 - Report this comment
I used to stop at a Gas Station in the middle of nowhere between Flagstaff and Page because this was the only place that I knew of that sold Pizza Puffs. They were awesome!
richardramirez - February 12, 2009 - Report this comment
yep clover club made the half moon shaped ones in the green window bag. ironically cheetos version of the pizza puff DID NOT taste anything like the original. however cheetos enchilada (2008+ limited) flavor did...

i too crave the puff! found something that tastes like them called Snikiddy Pizza Pie Puffs. they are corn pellets though, not the hardy fanshaped thick chip of childhood. sigh.

I too miss my pizza puffs. With pizza being as popular as it is today, it is unbelievable that some chip manufacturer wouldn't find out how they were made and produce them again. The best puff ever made with the best flavor.
