OMG!! I thought I was the ONLY human alive to remember POW-WOW Cheesey poofers!! My grandma bought those for me all the time. My good memories all have pow wow cheese puffs in them. You rock Chuck! Unfortunately I can find nothing. I google POW WOW randomly for the past 2 or 3 years and this is the first blog I have EVER seen. I got excited when I saw it, but then I read that you know nothing either......dangit!

and yes it was RC Cola. My grandpa painted the first RC Cola sign for the company when they moved into our hometown for their store front.

pow-wow cheese puffs were made in Marion,Ohio. The company from what I told by my mother went out of business. They still hold Popcorn Festival in Marion.

Yes! Pow Wow Cheese Puffs were the very best. I have tried all the other cheese puff types and they are just not the same. My grandma bought them for us all they time growing up. Your fingers were orange with all that extra cheese flavor. Good memories!

Thanks Chuck that's awesome. We do have Always Save brand available where I live, but I never bothered with it. I guess I'll go eat some now! :-)

Sandy, I tried the Always Save and the Aldi's brand cheese curls....NOT the same, not even close. Maybe someday they'll bring something that resembles that awesome puff back!

My sisters and i could not get enough of the Pow Wow cheese puffs that my mom would hide them throughout the house so we would not eat them up. She wanted to use them to pack in our lunches. I remember finding them once under her bed. Haha

I have always looked for these. I remember every week getting a bag with my allowance. These things were freaking awesome, there is not a cheeto out there to beat these period, and if these were still on the market a person would be a billionaire.

Too funny - I told the story of my husband, then boyfriend ordering a case of Pow Wow Puffs for me and delivering them to my house back in 1983. That sealed the deal-I married him! Thinking about that story I decided to google search Pow Wow puffs and found this site - I had to read all these comments to my husband. Good to know there are other fans out there! Sad that the other brands mentioned don't taste like the old favorite.....

I miss pow wow. Grandma served us pow wow cheese puffs in aluminum pie pans. My brothers and i talk about wishing for the day we can hang out with an aluminum pie pan of pow wow cheese puffs and a big glass of sweet tea that burns your throat because its so sweet.....grandma gave the cheese puffs and grandpa gave the tea!

I have to leave a comment now. I searched for Pow Wow cheese puffs some years ago and ran across this sight. I did not post anything then, but since I ran across it again I decided why not! I Loves the Pow Wow cheese puffs! the whole front wall of Walmart was covered in them and I think they were only $1 a bag, and if I remember correctly, they were really big bags! Then again, I was only around 8 years old. LOL! One of my oldest brothers would put them in a bowl with milk and eat them like cereal. I wish they were still around. At least you can still get Ralston hot cereal from Amazon, LOL! I bought some of that and cooked some for my daughter and told her I used to eat it and she loved it! It was nice hearing your stories!
