I loved Quackers! We used to have them with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Nabisco used to make them. Goldfish are like a modern day equivalent, but not nearly as delicious!

They were like goldfish but better. Must've been fried, not baked.

Ahhh! I'm so glad other people remember these crackers. They were my favorite. None of friends remember them, they think I'm crazy. Haha!
Brittany - January 23, 2009 - Report this comment
If we all write Nabisco do you think they would bring them back? These creackers were MUCH better than goldfish. They had a powdery cheese layer on them.

For those of you reeling for the forgotten flavor, I have found that the CHEEZ-IT Parmesan & Garlic flavored CHEEZ-ITs have sucessfully immitated the flavor (probably not intentionally thougho)
Sean - April 16, 2009 - Report this comment
To clarify, the Parmesan & Garlic CHEEZ-ITs resemble the Sour Cream and Onion Quackers
SZA - April 16, 2009 - Report this comment
But what is to long for, SEAN, without that loveable puffy duck shape?

I so loved these my husband looked at me like like I had two heads when I asked if he remembered them though! At least someone remembers them other than myself!

Quackers were my favorite snack (along with Giggles and Fun Fruits). They tasted a lot like the "flavor blasted" goldfish out today. I think that quackers were better though. (It seems like there was another flavor besides cheese and sour cream also)

I LOVED THESE! I am from the 80's & my parents bought them for a special snack, like when we would go on a trip. I loved the sour cream and onion kind. Goldfish crackers do not even compare. What about ranch ruffles they were my favorite too! What happened to those???????????

I remeber these from my childhood. People thought I was crazy when I asked them if they remember Quackers the crackers shaped like ducks. Sure wish they would bring them back. Goldfish dont tast nearly the same!!!!

They were definitely my favorite crackers ever. But what's up with not being able to find any info about them online?
Shane - March 21, 2012 - Report this comment
My comment is pretty much everything you all have said. no info online and people thought I was crazy...good to see that others remember!

I recently found this page and have had Quackers on the brain ever since they took them off the shelf. Nothing will ever compare in cheese cracker form. I would love to know why they stopped making them and think they need to start making them again. Give the other brands a run for their money.

My mom used to pack them into my lunch to eat in my Thermos of soup. I loved them. I was reminded of them just now while eating some Annie's Sour Cream and Onion Bunnies. They aren't as strongly flavored as Quackers, but they do have the dusted-on flavoring and a cute shape.

I am so glad to see that there are other people out there who remember these! I loved the Sour Cream & Onion flavored ones. The 1980's had the best snack foods ever!!

Oh my god these things were epic! I asked my wife if she remembers them too and she had no clue what I was talking about lol. And I definitely agree that they were kinda like goldfish but more like goldfish on crack and steroids! They were so good, wish they still existed.

Quackery were some of my favorite snacks. I don't know if they were regional but I grew up in NJ. My husband grew up in upstate NY and he never heard of them. I think they were around in the mid-80s but they were only around for a few years that I can recall.

I meant Quackers... LOL at AutoCorrect!

I loved Quackers! The "Flavor Blasted" cheddar Goldfish are similar in taste and the fact that they get cheesy powder all over your fingers.
Eric - August 22, 2016 - Report this comment
Didn't they make these in cherry?
Allie - February 01, 2017 - Report this comment
I remeber these! They were my fave snack food when I was in preschool. I was only five when they stopped making them and I remeber being so sad when we couldn't find them anymore. I always liked Goldfish too, but the Ducks were so much better.

I could easily eat a box of cheese quackers all at once.....they were the best. They had a little punch to them that I haven't found with any other cheese cracker. I used to suck on them to try to make them last longer. Oh my, please bring quackers back to the production line....PLEASE!!!!!!

Finally, other people who knew these existed!! I never had the cheese ones, but I can vouch for Sour Cream and Onion Quackers being completely addictive. Since there are those of you who remember these little guys, anyone out there also remember Cajun Lay's potato chips? :)

I loved these crackers. I was in the third grade and my teacher would use them for a reward for correct answers to her questions. I never had my hand raised so often on any other class or listened so intently for the right answers. I miss these so much.

Quackers blow gold fish out of the water, when I was 7 years old they were discontinued and this was the first heartbreak of my life

I loved the sour cream and onion Quackers! Growing up in the 80’s was so much fun and loved when my mom would buy these!!

I would put them in my tomato soup as a kid, and thought it was so cool watching the little divide "swim" around! I loved them!! They were so buttery, I'm shocked but I can recall the taste even at 40
Mr. Greg & The Cookies - January 27, 2024 - Report this comment
Bring them back. I'd like to put them in soup, too. Watch them swim
