Bring back Roller Coasters with meatballs! It was the best of the canned pasta type products!

They were the best. Chef Boyardee Roller Coasters with meatballs! I had different strategies vis a vis noodle vs. meatball consumption. They stopped making them when I was 10 or so.

I was just thinking about Roller Coaster pasta and wondered what happened to it. I used to eat cans of it when I was younger. I would buy it again if they brought it back.

I used to eat them all the time. It was in a blue can. I remember that roller coasters did NOT have the same taste as all the other pasta. It was a sweeter taste. It was so good. They look like the are trying to bring them back. But I just ate some pasta in the red can and got all excited but it is not the sweet taste at the original roller coaster. It is a little similar and I mean just a little. 5% Please bring these roller coaster with meatballs back.

I too did a search for Roller Coasters and found this page. I LOVED them, and was a faithful customer up until the day I no longer saw them on the shelves. However, the noodles are still in use. I picked up a can of Campbell's grilled chicken with vegetables and pasta and the noodles were identical. I wouldn't take too much to bring them back, I hope. Let's start sending letters.

I still think about them all the time. They were so much better than the canned lasagne. the noodles were firmer and the sauce tasted so much better. I always left the meatballs for last. I miss them :(

They were the best ever, we gotta get 'em back. I believe the secret was they didn't contain that cheddar cheese all other chef boy rde products have. You know that after taste that make most of the products inedible. Once you have thrown up any chef boy rde product it is hard to ever consiuder it palatable again. Please chef give a cheddar free product back to the adults who made your company what it is now. Bring back rollar coasters now please!!!

They must have had some addictive substance in them for us to be Jonesin' for them after so long. I live in Omaha and I know some people at ConAgra. I'm on it. Stay tuned.
John R. - September 23, 2011 - Report this comment
I should clarify that when I say "I'm on it" -- I mean I will not rest until you all have your Roller Coasters in the blue can, addictive additives and all!

Every time I shop in the Chef Boyardee section I always think about the Roller coaster with meatballs in the blue can, I'm glad to see that I am not the only one that still remembers and misses it!

Very fond memories of eating TONS of Roller Coasters when I was a young teen. It would make sense now that we're in our peak earning years that they would bring this back to market. I would love to eat this again!

I seriously ate these 4 out of 5 school lunches from maybe 3rd through 5th grade. Something about Rollercoasters was entirely different and more addicting than any other canned pasta. As someone else mentioned, a bit sweeter and the pasta to sauce ratio was superb. Now that I have picky kids, I find myself longing for these again - if only to give them a different lunch choice.

My mom made them for me as a kid for lunch especially in the Summer when I ate lunch at home and watched the tube.(Terrific memories). Those meatballs were awesome!I would buy those cans of delight in bulk if they brought em back and I'm 45 now.

Blue can Roller Coasters we’re by far my fave of the canned pastas we had in my house. SpagettiOs were ok but I ate cans and cans of Roller Coasters. They just stopped making them one day when I was 12 and I was devastated. I’m still not right.

this was the only canned pasta our youngest son could have as there was no milk ingredients. We were really disappointed when they weren't available.

Used to work at a glass plant in the summers when I went to school. They had a break room with some canned food in a heated vending machine. I loved the blue can of roller coasters!! Just noticed Chef Boyardee cans on sale in local grocery flyer and asked one of my boys to go pick some spaghetti and meatballs. Was going to have him look for roller coasters, but just discovered they are extinct!!! Please bring them back!
