I loved the first cheese danishes with the icing, of course without is good too. What happened to them. I've been looking for them for years. They use to sell them at Luckys but now since theres no Luckys where can we get them.

I found them at a "grab n' go" braekfast set up in the lobby of a Residence Inn when we wre traveling back home from a vacation. I have to admit, we were complete PIGS....we took approximately 1 dozen home with us! Yum!

I bought at least one of these a day from the convenience store up the street back when I was kid! The BEST danish ever! The link shows something close.....but there can't be icing!

"laminated"? They couldn't think of a more appetizing word?

We used to eat these as kids in conventions in the early 80s. They were individually packed and no icing! It was just the right sweetness for me. I haven't been able to find them any longer.

I used to eat these all the time back in the 80s to early 90s! I only know found out each one has 47g of carbs! Yikes! Well back then, ignorance was bliss!

I just contacted the company and they said they still do make these, but only for the foodservice industry-you should contact your local food service distributor, and you can buy them thru there, some even deliver to residential-I'm about to do that myself!

you can get these at almost any 7-11 store in the Washington DC / Maryland area. They usually sell the original 2.25 oz. one without the icing, and a larger version (that seems to be more popular for some reason}. Note- They are usually mixed in with the other wrapped goods. NOT the ones in the display case.

Thanks Nick for the resource. I used to get the danish at White Castle's and of course they don't sell them anymore. It seems that every danish comes with icing on top...I long for the simpler days

I am one of Jehovah's Witness's. Our organization used to provide these LiL Danishes for Lunch at our Large Conventions. I grew up eating like Ten of these every afternoon. They were "Heaven Sent" for sure!

I grew up eating these also at the Conventions in Pittsburgh @ Three Rivers Stadium. I remember eating these along with the swiss miss pudding and the fantastic burritos. The last time I got one was @ a Gabriel Brother's store in West Mifflin Pa. I don't know if all the Gabs sell them, and I also got them at Target about 5 years ago in Pennsylvania. Since then I have moved to California and I have seen them once at Target.

Years ago during an Amtrak trip from Boston to Ft.Lauderdale, I stuffed myself unconscious on these cheese danish. Yummo! Can no longer find them anywhere. So aggravating.

I'm cracking up because there are so many other Witnesses looking for these. I was still able to buy them at the Sara Lee factory outlet store in Winston Salem, NC until it closed a few years ago. I have been looking for them ever since. I truly miss these pastries!!!

My brother and I are dying laughing at all the JW's trying to hunt these things down. We've been talking about them for years!! Thank God for the internet. Now we just need some frozen pudding and a Shasta.
MIMI - July 26, 2013 - Report this comment
My mom used to take me to a Sara Lee store when I was little, and she would always buy me those Cheese Danishes. They were my favorite treat, and then I would eat one in the car, and get sad that I had eaten it! Meanwhile, all of the ones on foodservice direct have icing...where can we all find the ones with no icing???

I have been looking for them as well.... I used to get them from Burger King when I was little... I can get them now from 7-11, but there is only a strip down the center of the danish of the cheese filling, they are round, and the wrapper is clear and blue. In the past the whole danish was full of cheese, it was square and the wrapper was clear and red. u can order online, but every site i visit wants 22$ for shipping! CRAZY....

I'm so happy to see my fellow brothers and sisters going through the same thing. Though I loved them-the danishes- I refuse to pay $25 for shipping. The struggle is real :-(

I used to live these when I was a little boy. My mom would buy me 2 everytime we went to 711. To make them last I would split it open into two halves. Where can I get them!!
Crimsonwright - October 06, 2017 - Report this comment
My mom used to buy these in the freezer section at the grocery in boxes of 6. I used to eat them every day for breakfast. I have looked for them ever since because I still crave them. Glad I'm not the only one.

I ordered a case hoping they were the same ones I remember eating as a child in the '80s/'90s. They just arrived today. Unfortunately, they don't look the same at all. Maybe they'll taste the same. I'll keep you posted.

Does anyone know if there is anything we can do to have the company bring these back? A petition etc I think many people would want these atleast 4million of the JWs...lol

Have there been any more recent sightings? I understand about the shipping, but depending upon quantity, I might be willing to pay it! Between these and Snapple not making the mint tea anymore, (at least enough that would be in stores everywhere, not just a few select cities for a week) it's surprisingly upsetting. I'm hoping that nobody minds this little necrobump!

At the Conventions this is all I would eat when attending conventions in FLA & GA as a child. I rediscovered them at a work Conference at a Marriott brand Hotel so Marriott must have the inside scoop on these because I can't find these anywhere here down South but before then I hadn't had one since the mid 90's. We were just talking about these aft the recent G.B update at the Mid Week Mtg.
