Imagine going through school with this name and getting teased lol. I can't tell you how many times I heard that sung to me. YUCK! The soda was horrible to boot.

My grandparents bought these for my aunt Sharon ALL THE TIME!!!As kids whenever we visited and there was nothing else to drink, we'd sneakily drink those sodas and they were ohhh sooo awful!!

My Mom and I LOVED the chocolate and Diet Chocolate Flavor Shasta! We also liked the Pineapple-Orange and Strawberry-Peach. Our Fridge was PACKED with Shasta and all of the neighborhood kids would come over to have one!

oh good LORD, i drank so many Shasta Chocolate sodas at my grandparents' house....am I dreaming it or did they come in a yellow-patterned or striped can at some point? I found Shasta chocolate and diet chocolate sodas at Kroger last summer. They weren't as delicious as I remembered, but still satisfying. (Delicious to pour over chocolate ice cream for a float!)

I remember the commercial with the extremely hot babe in bikini singing the jingle. I'm trying to find the clip of that commercial, but YouTube don't have it.

We had TONS of Shasta! I think we must have tried every flavor. I cannot seem to remember the taste - just know we liked it and that they had some really different flavors... like maybe Black Cherry?! I remember that Sssshhhas-TA part of the jingle, but that is all, don't remember the commercials really... of course, maybe the hot babe inspired good ole dad into that purchase!?

We had Shasta & Vess & Fago soda in St.Louis. They were all good. Fago used to come in GLASS bottles. Strange to people now I guess since everything is in plastic.

There's one side of a WinCo aisle with nothing but Shasta soda! I love the raspberry cream. Yum! I remember my friends and I drank Shasta like water in the 80s! Good stuff. I still love my Dr.Pepper though!

I remember never hearing of Shasta til I went to visit my long lost family in Jacksonville FL. Apparently they named my cousin Shasta, after the soda. I dont believe Ive had it, but it must be good enough to name your kid after, right?

I work for winco and it is a huge seller for us the price is right and the number of flavors is nice although there are a few that i did not like but for the most part holds its own.

Shasta's still around - primarily West Coast. Just watched a trailer of their new TV spots - first in 30 years "Heads Up Shasta" on YouTube. Some of the vintage ones there too - pretty neat.

I worked summers for the Chrysler Corporation in the early seventies. At lunch break (and this was third shift)I would always get a Shasta Red Apple from the a la carte vendor in the parking lot. The rest of the shift would go so much better.

I don't remeber ever seeing comercials for this cola as a kid, in fact I had never even seen it at all till the mid 90's when I first started going to sleep away camp. There was only one kind of soda they sold in the vending machines at my sleep away camp and it was Shasta. I remember thinking "What in the world is 'Shasta cola'?" I had never seen it before and I never saw it any place else other than camp. It was pretty good especially if there was no altnernative. When I think of Shasta all I can think of is my camps canteen... ahh the good ol' days.

I had Shasta recently. It was from a generic dollar store. 3L bottle, just like Faygo! :p It was alright, though a bit bland.
