I could never eat canned pasta raw. I always have to heat it up either on the stovetop or in the microwave. I loved this since I was a kid and no matter how much sodium is in each can I could eat more than one can at a time. But that wouldn't be too healthy. I hope the kids today enjoy Spaghetti O's every bit as much as their parents did. I loved it as both a kid and an adult.

I am a huge fan of Spaghetti-O's. I used to eat them when I was little, but then stopped. I recently discovered them again this summer and became addicted to them again. These are so delicious! I luv the ones with the shapes and meatballs. Yum!

Had to have the meatballs.. and when only it bites with a meatball in it. Its like stirring your ice cream till it was all smooth and runny... used to drive my mom crazy that i would stop eating my spaghetti o's when i ran out of meatballs.

Spaghetti-O's ... Chef Boyardee, does anyone know what happened to the popular Chef Boy-R-Dee spaghetti sauce? Many people grew up with it and then in the 70's they stopped making the sauce. It wasn't the same thing as the sweeten sauce in the Spaghetti-O's etc. Anyway, within a few years all these other sauces have shown up from Newman's to Prego and Raguee.

I just had my first serving of SpaghettiOs in probably more than 12 years! I cooked up a pot from the VALUE SIZE can with Oscar Mayer turkey franks coined up in them, for a nostalgic lunch. My husband was PSYCHED!!!

I used to go home for lunch when I was a kid in elementary school, and I either had regular SpaghettiOs or the kind with the little meatballs. I still buy it today as an adult once in a while.

It was always great when you would get 3 different-sized O's all neatly contained within the other. Like a bonus.

These were one of my favorite meals as a kid, especially when I was on the swim team in middle school. I ate tons of them, and I still occasionally crave them.

Campbell's began selling Spaghetti-O's in 1967, under the Franco-American label. Plain, meatballs or little frank slices. Little has changed, always good. Early TV commercial for this aired on "Lassie" over CBS (11/12/67).

From the Saturday morning cartoon vault, a puppet character named Big O puts on a show for some kid puppets. An over-the-hill magician tries creating a good lunch food but fails. Big O suggests Spaghetti O's, bringing cheers from the audience. This aired on "Gary Coleman Show" over NBC (2/25/84). Coleman's cartoon character was Andy LeBeau, an angel-in-training, and his teacher/mentor was Angelica. To earn his wings, Andy was assigned to keep a group of kids from getting in trouble or danger. Hindering Andy's efforts was a devilish warlock named Hornswoggle, who wanted Andy to join "his gang." When Andy got in trouble, Hornswoggle was responsible. Complicating things more, Angelica couldn't see or hear Hornswoggle, and automatically blamed Andy for damage done. Series was one season, 13 episodes. It was rerun in 1984-85.
