Description
I don't know if they still make them but I haven't seen them in ages. They were Spaghetti-O's with little hot dogs in it. It tasted really yucky, though!

For some reason, every time I ate these as a kid, I threw up. EVERY time. Guess there was something in it that didn't agree with me, although I do remember that I loved the way they tasted, nevertheless. Sorry to be gross, but I just have to say that they looked exactly the same the um, "second time around." My husband seems to remember having similar gastrointestinal issues from Spaghetti-Os, so we've agreed that we'll never feed these to our kids, for fear they might have inherited the same um, disagreement with the food.

TarHeel that's unfortunate. I've eaten these many times and I don't recall hurling afterward. There must be something wrong with your stomach and I hope it isn't genetic so you can't feed it to your kids. I hope there are good foods you can have without having this problem. Spaghetti-O's with franks are very good, I've always enjoyed them whether it's in the microwave or on the stovetop.

haha I love them. I guess I'm a typical college student thought. I'm eating them right out of the can as I type.

In Connecticut - Stop and Shop carries Spaghettios with Franks. I buy a few cans once in a while, to keep in the back of the cupboard, for a treat. when I remember they're there. :) I'm 46, and still love them from my childhood.

Spaghetti-O's with sliced franks came out in 1969. Those aren't Oscar Mayer franks by any means. Similar to this was a Swanson frozen dinner that included one-inch weenies in beans in tomato sauce. This was in a 1983 TV commercial that featured Jim Henson-like puppets. A theater setting, the host puppet was Big O, and four puppet-kids that made up the audience. Big O had a guest, asking the question, "What do kids like at noon?" and presented less than palatable items. Answer: "Uh-Oh, Spaghetti-O's!" A puppet-girl resembled Miss Piggy, and a puppet-boy resembled "Sesame Street's" Ernie. This aired on "Smurfs" over NBC in January, 1984.
