Description
It was similiar to the layout of TWIX by having two skinny bars in the silver wrapping paper. It really wafery and tasted great.

Oh yeah, I remember these well. Kinda similar to Twix, but had peanuts too. Probably been 20 years or more since I recall seeing 'em...

I long for a Summit Candy Bar. I am not a candy bar fan...but that Summit Candy Bar... I crave them. I wish I knew they were to be "retired" and I would have purchaced CASES of them and stored them in a freezer. I would love to just SEE an old wraper that someone saved... a picture of what it looked like... There is NOTHING ELSE that compaires to the taste of a Summit Candy Bar. Does anyone agree? If you have a picture or other info, please email me dave . taylor @ blackbox-vs . com Thanks! Dave

I loved the Summit bar...they remind me of Twix bars. I just ate a Twix and decided to Google Summit to see if anyone else missed them!

I have wondered about/longed for the Summit bar literally for decades... As a kid in the early 80's, I always thought it was interesting how similar they were to Twix - but slightly better in my opinion. My theory on their fate (pretty clear if you think about it) is that they were forced out of business by Twix: either took a buyout from Twix's parent company to stop producing a candy that was such a direct competitor or knuckled under to possible legal threats... Does anyone remember the Go Ahead bar - especially the main national TV commercial for it?

I miss that candy bar. It was my favorite. The fun part if it was when is would melt it was a challange to eat.

When I was a kid in the early 80's, my sister left for a babysitting job and forgot her Summit Bar on the tool bench in the garage. I knew she would be gone for hours and there was no way I could wait for her to get home so I could ask her for a bite, so I ate it and figured I'd deal with the consequences later. I bet she was thinking of it the whole time she was babysitting--clueless that I was eating it for her. Ha! I though back then that they were made by the same company as Twix because of the similarity.
