Description
This was an orangy tang sort of flavor and it came out around 1983 or 1984. It was my all time favorite!!!

We used to mix it with orange juice on ice during the summer. Oh it was good.
That was the best flavor ever...if you mix 1 pack of pink lemonade and 1 pack of orange Kool Aid together it tastes and looks just like Sunshine Punch.

I stopped drinking koolaid when they stop making sunshine punch. It was and will always be my fav. Please bring it back for me and the other fine people who miss it.
The Recipe posted above from Mel31 (May 20, 2008) is close, Very close but still there is a hint of something missing. After I Googled it, there are some recipes using Cherry along with Orange and Pink Lemonade but It Is Not Right at all! Orange and just Lemonade isn't right either.

GOSH What a memory, Apple Kool Aid and Sunshine Punch. Mom made it for us all through the late 70's!! Kraft bring it on back!

This was one GIANT mistake, for Kool-Aid to cut this one out, along with Rainbow Punch!
I have tryed to recreate the flavor of sunshine punch and what has worked the best seems to be a mixture of oramge and lemon-lime kool-aid. Although the coloring is a lot off it seems to fit the bill when I have a hankering for my favorite flavor from the past :-)

So nice to know that Sunshine Punch was not a flavor I dreamed up in my head!!! I used to LOVE that stuff, but none of my friends seem to remember it!
I always thought of Sunshine Punch as orange-pineapple. Yes, we drank it by the bucketful. Now we mix one packet of orange and one pineapple koolaide. Pineapple is hard to find, but not gone.
I LOVED this drink. They should really bring back some of the nostalgic flavors as they were like Sunshine Punch, Apple and the original Raspberry. Kids aren't the only ones who love Kool-Aid.
with all this stuff from the 70s and 80s becoming popular again some company would clean up if they brought some of these flavors back.
