Just another chocolate snack cake with cream filling, but tasty.

Suzy Q's were the best lunchbox scam you could pull on Mom - each snack cake was as big as two so you were getting TWICE as much dessert if you could convince her to buy these for you. (I don't know about your mom, but mine only ever sent ONE cupcake or Swiss Cake Roll or whatever - never put the whole twinpack in my lunchbox.) Hostess still makes Suzy Qs, but it looks like they've been cut in half - they're much smaller now. Darn you, Hostess!!!

they were the best thing to buy at the snack bar in the lunchroom when I was in school..I still remember they were 35 cents.

OMG!! suzy Q's are mine and my husband's favorite snack cake. We're 49 and don't eat them often anymore (gotta watch the weight and health) but when we were younger, we ALWAYS had to have these in our hotel when we traveled. When we travel now, we still get Suzy Q's and Dr. Pepper for our hotel snack!

I didn't really start to eat these until the late 80's, early 90's in middle school. It always hit the spot whenever I was craving some yummy chocolately creamy goodness.
