I remember one time Alice from Disney's Alice and Wonderland was on the back of the can. Probably back in the late 80s.

It was great! It tastes like crap now that they changed the sweetener though.

What about TAB Clear? I was in college, so it was early 90's and they had freaky commercials. Couldn't find it on the shelves though. Because I had exams, my fraternity didn't make me drink during pledge week. I had to chug warm TAB. Nasty.

I think every adult of the 1970's & 80's had TAB in their fridge, right next to the seltzer water. I remember being a kid and trying this yucky stuff or maybe it tasted bad cause I was a kid?? Who knows...

I remember my Mum always having this stuff around. It was the only diet drink of the market then!

I remember Tab being a diet soda. I thought it was nasty-tasting. It was mentioned in the movie Back to the Future; Michael J. Fox's character asks the 1955 sodajerk for a tab remember?

Tab was/IS diet soley. Still made and i t is on the store shelves here in Colorado.. IF I could drink it, I would.. it's got caffeine. It always reminded me of coke with cinnamon. I once sent away and got a cool bright pink sweatshirt and sweatpants from them.

I drank my fair share in the early 80's. It was about the only diet pop on the market besides Pepsi Lite, remember that???

I still buy it all the time but you can only find it in my area in 6pack cans, no two liter bottles

When I worked at McDonalds years ago, my manager gave me an old menu insert that said "We Now Have Tab". I brought it home, threw it in a closet and forgot all about it. When I put it on Ebay some 20 years later, it went for well over $100. Obviously there are still Tab fans out there.

You can still purchase TAB through amazon, as well as wheat nuts, and Faygo sodas.

Thanks for the info, Donna. I recall this in the mid '70's. It was such a part of that culture and began the megga diet soft drink craze. It all began in the 1970's with good 'ol Tab. Miss those days and what we were doing back then.

You can buy it in Michigan at Meijers in 12 can fridge packs and u can also get it in the Rochester area in 6 packs. We haven't had it in Canada since 1985 so I take road trips to both those states from Southern Ontario to get my fix!!!

Tab was OK back in the day, but the new formulations of Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi are much better, and are not as high in sodium as Tab was. When I was a kid growing up, it was the only diet soda. I'm glad times have changed.
